Has a tendancy to get crowded — when it does the number of people sitting at the bar make getting drinks an ordeal.

My favoutite pub in Lowestoft! It is a proper pub with a extensive range of proper beer (you must try the Orange Wheat Beer) and lots of happy regulars! Front bar is quiet and the place to settle down for an evening of putting the world to rights with friends — there is normally live music on Friday and Saturday nights not to mention the impromptu music when someone just walks in with a guitar! The back bar is a bit more lively with a juke box and pool table and occasional DJ nights. They have kilner jars with locally made pickled eggs (including flavoured ones) and the more normal snacks (crisps/​peanuts). Regular guest ales and beer festivals. The Green Jack Brewery is located directly behind the pub and their ales have won numerous awards. This is not for families as children under 14 are not allowed in the pub.
