Best macaroni and cheese ever. Seriously, best EVER. I will dream about this stuff for the rest of my life. Aside from the cheesy deliciousness, everything about our visit to Crumplehorn Inn was pleasant. The manager that sat down with us to tell us about the history of the building, the impressive vegetarian menu and just the general ambience of the place. We chose to eat here for two reasons: 1 — the menus are written outside on chalkboards near the road. That way you can see what’s being served without going in to ask for a menu. This is very good for us because as vegetarians, we’ve had to leave restaurants before if they don’t have veggie options. 2 — it was one of the few places open. Just a friendly tip – don’t go on holiday in November. Everything is frickin’ shut. A lesson we learned the hard way! Anyhow, the Crumplehorn had it’s doors open and we were lucky to have gone in. This place was one of the highlights of our Cornwall holiday. A must if you’re visiting Polperro or Looe.

Easily the best pub in the local area. Even if you ignore the fact that it has the best beer selection(Tintagel Arthurs ale was very nice!) you have the watermill to see and sitting outside listening to the stream is most soothing!(The outside seating would be the best place to hang out if it is an option). The pub is pretty nice inside and the staff are certainly friendly! I needed more time!

Fantastic pub! Food is really nice and a constant changing menu — dependant on fish caught. Real ales also available. Lots of seating. Live music at most weekends. Have a fantastic new years eve party. Its extremely old and atmospheric and has loads of history. Well worth a look.

This really is a lovely pub in a great location and serving quality real ale too! The buildings and mill date back hundreds of years. Its a cosy little place, staff are friendly and the food is great. When the weather is good its nice to sit outside and watch the world go by(and the horse buses, free to OAP’s) which it does at a much slower pace in this part of Cornwall. What better way to enjoy a nice pint of Doombar or Tribute. The pub and mill are located right at the entrance to this pretty village so you can’t miss it. With a working water wheel right outside its quite a magnet for visitors. Its also nice to pay less than £3 for a decent pint! Well worth calling in!
