This place is A-OK. Nothing bad about it at all but it didn’t stand out to me either. We came here later on a week night and there weren’t many people. We ordered the risotto pesce(risotto with different fish) and margherita pizza. The pizza was pretty awesome. It came out on a big board and tasted quite nice. The risotto on the other hand did not stand out to me. The fish all sort of blended together and didn’t have much flavour. Perhaps I’d try a pasta or pizza the next time. The atmosphere was also a-ok, but it did feel more like a chain to me. I can see this being a nice place to come for a quick lunch.

My friends and I went to Zizzi for lunch. We all ordered pasta but with different types. The food is very tasty and valuable. We all love our dishes. Service is alright. Nice and clean space

Overall my experience was borderline MEH and A-OK. Sometimes an experience can be depend on the specific variables, but I’m shocked that someone reviewed this place as «perfection». I stopped on my way home and gave in to the curb appeal. It was fairly empty in the restaurant when I arrived, but for some reason the service was slow throughout the meal, and didn’t seem to match the amount of people they were serving. In fact, I didn’t even get water, and the waiter never asked if I needed something to drink until I ordered my full meal. I first tried the Fritto Misto(small). They are large portions, so I was glad I ordered the small. It was okay, but wouldn’t order again. There was barely any fish in the Fritto Misto, mostly fried red peppers and zucchini. Admit-tingly, this could have been my misunderstanding of term, but I clearly should have ordered the calamari instead. I also ordered a pizza — a new combination listed in the menu with Lamb meat balls, anchovies, tomato and basil i think. I like each of these ingredients, but apparently not together. They didn’t have any small portions of most their pizza’s so I was stuck ordering the full size. I took most of it home which would have been okay had I liked it more. If I go back, I would order very differently. The Garlic bread, calamari, and salads looked nice. The desert menu was quite tempting as well, but service was so slow to come by I eventually passed in favor of my bill. I would assume good for big groups — It’s a large space with a broad menu for families or parties.

I would rate this Zizzi 3.5÷5 stars. I have been to this restaurant once with a group of 21 and once as a couple. Both times, the servers have been outstanding. Despite the restaurant always being packed and even when we had 21 people in our party, the service was absolutely amazing and so helpful. In our most recent visit, our waiter was advising possibilities for my gluten free friend which we listened to with fantastic results. The décor manages to be chic and cosy at the same time and it feels very intimate despite being a bustling place. The dessert wine is to die for and I highly recommend it. The only real issue with this place is the food. The value for money is very good but I find the menu to be a little limited in choice and the flavours are quite simple. It is obviously not authentically Italian cuisine. It could be argued that this is to be expected as a chain and I respect that, this is a wonderful little restaurant otherwise.

I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant. On our most recent visit we were sat near the kitchen(upon request) as I love watching the care and attention they put into making the food. For starter I had the arancini balls and my wife had the calamari. For our mains I had the rustica smokey calbrese and my wife had the ravioli de capra. Amazing food as always with a great atmosphere and attentive staff.

Just. Fantastic. Food. Italian. Loved the melting cheese garlic bread — one of a kind here. But everything on the menu is so tasty and mouth watering. Every place I used to go in London, I saw a Zizzi. But only happened to visit it last week. So now, if it’s Italian, I’d prefer Zizzi!

Rating for my experience is a 3⁄5. firstly, it took the server forever to take our drink orders. secondly, the food came out very slowly, we were there a long time. had we not ordered the garlic bread(£4.25) to start out with we would have been starving with our 50 mins wait. the place wasn’t even packed as it was towards the end of the night on a Tuesday. the place was very clean and decorated very nicely though. good atmosphere for birthday dinners. Some drinks that were ordered were a cider(£4.20) and a Menabrea(£4.15). The beer was average, but suited the meal and the cider was average too. instead of tasting like apples it tasted just like beer but without the bite. I can comment on only two of the main dishes I tasted: The lasagne(£9.95) and the Riga Pollo Fungh(£9.55). The lasagne was rich, tasty, but its difficult to eat on its own as a meal because t was so rich. It needs pasta on the side and can easily be shared by two people with a side of pasta. The Riga pollo was average with pasta and chicken and heavy on the rosemary. For dessert i opted for the 3 scoops of gelato(£4.50). The flavours I chose were lemon sorbet, chocolate, and mint chocolate chip. All three were fantastic, but beware the chocolate had a bitter dark chocolate taste to it, not the creamy taste. Overall, the experience was average. It was a tasty meal, but nothing that would make me come back again unless I was in the area and wanted Italian food.

We were looking for the nearest Italian restaurant along Charlotte Street and we stumbled upon Zizzi. Classy place, good selection on wine and beers but the appetizer totally let me down — it was served cold. We have to return the food back and have a hot one served instead. I had ordered a Calzone and it lacks the authenticity of a real Italian one. Have to return my food as I feel a bit twangy taste of too much tomato. Rigatoni is actually decent though(Which would only serve as my hail-mary food on an Italian resto) Needless to say, I only discovered that this is actually a spruced-up Italian chain of restaurants.

Perfection. This is my favorite local Italian restaurant. Yes, it’s a chain. No, it’s not fancy schmancy. And no, it’s not authentic Italian(and yes, I’ve had pasta from Italy before) BUT — it is a 5 minute walk from my flat and prepares the most delicious rigatoni with chicken and mushrooms I could ever dream up. So count me as a loyal customer who will keep coming back for more.

Open kitchen which is always adds cool factor. But just an average dinner out for an average price(money better spent somewhere).

I think Zizzi’s is a safe bet but never more than ordinary. However, if you’re looking for uncomplicated Italian staples like Spaghetti Bolognese or Linguine Gamberoni, look no further. I’d probably only go here if I happened upon it by accident rather than it being planned.

For a chain, I thought Zizzi on Charlotte Street was great! Our server was very nice and accomodating. It was not too loud and had really nice lighting. The mixed olives are amazing w/a little spicy kick ;)!

I always find Zizzi’s a bit hit and miss. This one seemed to sway on the hit side though. We had some dough sticks to start followed by pizza & lasagne and all were enjoyed. Its hardly blow your head away but none the less satisfactory! the atmoshphere is a bit strange. The surroundings are very rustic, with trees inside, however the tables were crammed in and very close together and not wanting to sound like my gran it did seem a little ‘loud’. We could hear the customers from the other side of the restaurant quite clearly! Ohh i feel old now complaining about noise — especially as i am the one who is normally the main perpetrator! not too pricy either.

3.5 stars i love the open kitchen. i saw them make our pizza, tossing, saucing, baking. it was pretty cool to watch. atmosphere is very modern and relaxed. good for casual lunches with friends. very nice service. we ordered a calamari appetizer and the server misunderstood and gave us the entrée portion. she was kind enough to talk to the manager and readjust the bill. Pollo al Rosmarino — tasty pizza. very thin crust. actually put whole springs of rosemary onto the pizza. Calamari — overall just kind of plain.

Summary based on a few dinners when in the area: –ok, one doesn’t seek Zizzi out for grand cuisine, but it’s an ok choice if you’re in the area and other places are packed out –good for vegetarian kids –friendly service –relatively inexpensive.

i had an amazing chicken rissotto in here a little while ago so hooray to Zizzi! I feel that a lot of the time restaurants give you a whole load of rice and not much else. But this was perfect and had lots of yummy stuff in it. We’d actually only gone becuase we had 2−4−1 vouchers. there were seven of us, so we ordered an extra salad main to share as we figured it would be free. Nope. The guys serving decided we could only use three of the vouchers, so we ended up paying for it. Our cheap meal suddenly cost us the same as it would have done anyway. Not that that’s an issue, it was yummy and we had a great time. It’s very nice in here, the service is good(if slightly over attentive?) and you’ll get some yummy food. They’re good with groups so if you’ve got a big lunch planned this place would be perfect. Everyone was happy with their food — from pizza to pasta. I wouldn’t come here every day as it’s a bit plasticcy, but you could do a lot worse. They were packed when we went(no, we didn’t book on a Friday afternoon) but they let us book a table for half an hour later. They were really helpful and I must go back and try that rissotto again. Mmmmm.
