Greasy, flavourless and very limited choices. Of the already few dishes, two were empty. Upon ordering a glass of water, I was charged 50p for«ice water». Definitely not worth a visit. Avoid.

Cheap and greasy. Can’t handle a second plate.

Oh my god! How sorry I am I walked in here and how bad can a buffet be executed! Very limited, all is as greasy as can be. it’s cheap but, if you ask me, not worth it’s money, not even then.

If you love your insides, don’t step inside here. I don’t know what clouded my judgement… empty restaurant, no Unilocal sticker, onion rings… nothing about this was Chinese unless Chinese mean flavorless and greasy, I blame the rain and fun but long day wandering westminster for Open House weekend, for clouding my Judgement. This was the worst food I’ve had in London! I felt sick after one plate. Definitely will look up restaurants on Unilocal next time I venture into chinatown… Oh how I miss wifi on my phone… the Unilocal app could have saved me from this debacle. If negative stars were possible. It would be a negative star from me!

i agree with the other 1 star review it received. hands down. worst chinese food. no worst buffet food i’ve ever had in my life. everything was over salted, over cooked, just not meant to be, well quite frankly served as food. when you’re starving and you see yourself tempted to step into a «too good» of a deal, you’re right. it’s too good of a deal, 6.90P for a buffet all day everyday is too good of a deal, just pass on it.

Restaurant was ok, not that amazing to be honest but food there is a good value for money because of the price. There is small choice, I assume, but the food taste is good and you shall enjoy stuffing your stomach as much as you can for sure.

This restaurant was average; the food was ok but very limited and lacked any atmosphere. The layout of the buffet meant that you were forced to walk through the restaurant and queue by the door to get your food. The waiting staff were quick but the whole free of the experience was very stressed and we will not be going back there.

As the saying goes… you get what you pay for. There are several other restaurants in the area that offer buffets at a fixed price. As by luck(so we thought), as we passed by the restaurant window again a few minutes later the price was dropped by a pound. We looked again at the buffet and thought we would give it a try. When we entered, we were greeted promptly and seated. At that point we were advised there was a service charge per person(which was not disclosed on the sign). We stated we were there for the buffet and were advised that we must order a beverage which was not part of the buffet price. Just after this we noticed the small print on a table card of «limit of 2 trips to the bar» per person. We were both getting a bad taste in our mouth and we had not even taken our first plate to the table. I am not quite sure when exactly onion rings and fried chicken wings became a course of Chinese cuisine, but there it was and sadly it was the better part of the buffet. The orange chicken was very, very dry and tasteless. The rice was dry. The beans had no flavor. In short, there was nothing savory enough to warrant a second trip to the buffet. I have eaten Chinese around the world and I can truly say this was the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. Everything is fried, out of a can, or briefly steamed and dumped out to dry out. Please spare yourself the agony… add another quid to the bill and go to a neighboring restaurant. (My apologies to the British readers of this post for my American lack of zest in description… its a style of writing that resembles the food served.)

This Wardour St location is one of a few in London; this is a Chinese chain. It’s in a very busy part of town(Soho, right at the edge of Chinatown). They have a buffet(between £6 and £8 depending on time of day/week) and an a la carte menu. There are about 10 upstairs tables and as many again downstairs. The buffet’s just OK: maybe slightly better than the buffet across the street at Mr Wu’s, but definitely not a high-end restaurant. You’re probably going to do much better ordering from the menu: my experience is that those dishes are usually tastier and of higher quality. A fairly authentic, but typical, Chinese.
