I came here with a friend today after our pilates class in a nearby center. Feeling rather refreshed and upbeat but also rather hungry it was the perfect place to come. I got a baked potato with cheese and chick pea, red onion and spinach salad and a black coffee for £6.50 which was pretty reasonable i thought. The staff are very relaxed and happy, perhaps they avail of the yoga and meditation classes at the nearby centers on their break.

I’d heard much about this vegetarian café and its stellar fare before I ventured there… I came on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was *packed* — the line of people waiting to place and take their order from the counter practically snaked out the door. The staff was obviously used to it though, since they were handling the rush with a relaxed nonchalance that I found appealing. I order the Thai Hot and Sour soup, paid my tab, and then headed over to one of the nicely set tables. The café has plenty of windows, white walls, and high ceilings, which give it an airy cheerfulness and brightness. The atmosphere is very appealing… you would never guess that you picked your food up with a tray. I feel that I can’t judge Wild Cherry out rightly on its food yet, since I’ve only had Thai soup, but frankly, the soup just wasn’t that fantastic. I went back to the condiment table more than once in search of something that would liven it up — ended up making a weak attempt with some tamarind sauce(I love that they have tamarind sauce!) But it was just too-boring of a broth to pop no matter what I did to it — despite its claim of being *hot* and *sour* — it was neither. The mushrooms and tofu it contained were fresh and generous in amount though — a real bargain for the £3 it cost me. As a veggie, I think I’m under obligation to go back here. I’ll let you know once I’ve tasted something worth mentioning.
