It was not busy. I was seated and waited over 15 minutes for someone to greet me. A very disinterested rude server approached me, no smile, no apology for keeping me waiting. I walked right out. What a disappointment. Too many other choices available for rude service. This chain has great food but needs to work on their customer service.

I came to Wagamama as a group of 6 on a Sunday evening(about 8PM). This location is quite spacious, so there was ample room and we were seated quickly. On the whole, I had an okay experience. The waitress took a long time in getting our orders(free green tea recommended), and pushed us to order an appetizer, but the food came out soon thereafter. The starter was 6 pounds for 5 measly dumplings — in general, I wouldn’t order any of the starters here at Wagamama. I ordered the Cha Han Donburi, which was served in a large bowl(generous portion) with sauteed green beans, egg, chicken, mushroom and various other ingredients. Everyone else seemed pretty content with their entrees as well(yakisoba noodles, a katsu dish, etc.). Our waitress immediately handed us dessert menus after we finished eating, which, once again was kind of unexpected. We ended up not ordering dessert and flagged down a different waitress to get our check since our server seemed overharried with the other customers. Tl;dr: Service is subpar, but entrees are substantial.

Like my other review, I just cain’t fault Wagamama. As it’s a chain, the menu is pretty much standard at every restaurant you visit. Chicken Katsu Curry is always the one for me!

I’ve had the cookbook for years now so was excited to eat here? Maybe it was an off day but the broth or Dashi was almost tasteless and lacked depth and character. The noodles were mushy and not elastic like usual ramen noodles. My wife had the Pad Thai which she said lacked flavor and was bland. She never adds things to her food but she ended up pouring the gyoza sauce over her noodles to add more flavor. The vegetable gyoza was mushy and not even crisp on the bottom and two of the pieces were served broken. The chicken karaage was pretty good with a different take on this traditional Japanese fried chicken with various spices in the breading. We try to use less salt in our foods but wow this meal was almost bland. The only thing that had descent flavor was the karaage. Really wanted to love Wagamama but walked away disappointed. I’m surprised to see that it is pretty crowded in the evenings so maybe it’s my Hawaii taste buds?!?

I love Wagamama, I love Japanese food, I love chicken katsu curry, yaki udon, negima yakitori. The staff is very quick and friendly. I have nothing to complain about. The kids menu is super cute, tasty, with ingenious little kiddie chopsticks. We eat here fairly often, especially after a shopping session in Westfield: P Nomnomnomnonmnonm!!!

Chain Japanese restaurant that is pretty consistent from location to location. The food doesn’t taste super authentic but for some quick food and friendly service it’s not bad. They place your order on their electronic system and can tell you in advance if they are out of the selected item. This is always nice as I hate when you go to a restaurant and place your order and 20 minutes later they tell you oh. sorry we are out. I tried a stir fried spicy shrimp dish here and it was spicy spicy spicy! Yum

Not bad… .I didn’t really have high expectations of a place like this… but there were some good points about it. The kids meal… might daughter liked it quite a bit. she might have been really hungry. but still. The cute little chopsticks were cool too. my wife went for the blended apple/lemon juice thing that was quite interesting… probably a little too much apple for my taste, but whatever… I can see why people might like it. The ramen I had was mediocre at best… and about what I would expect out of a place like this. 3 stars might be reaching a little bit… but this place doesn’t SUCK, it just is what it is… move on.

Went here for the first time over a month ago with a friend. I love the fusion concept. The waiter/server was very good at explaining the concept to me. I ordered the chili/garlic edamame and a vegetarian dish that had sweet potato, eggplant in a sauce over rice(sorry can’t remember the name of the dish). I loved the different place mats they had with different art work and facts on them, very unique decoration and their bench style seating. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere is very casual… But good for a first date. Only problem was climbing four flights of stairs to use the restroom, especially when you are desperate to go!!! Really want to go back to this place when I go back to London.

Wagamama is a chain of Japanese restaurants in London. So the food is very consistent. Service, however can vary depending on how busy it is and believe me it gets busy. The Cha han and the Katsu curry dish are my two favorite items. I hear the cheese cake is quite exquisite.

Um, what on earth? After all I’ve heard about it, I hate to break it to you, but Wagamama is not even remotely good. I had the Wagamama ramen. The noodles were downright mushy. The toppings were dry and unflavorful. The broth was incredibly bland(and trust me, I’m usually the one that appreciates the subtleties of seemingly blander foods). The only good thing was the peach iced tea, but it was nothing terribly special. Peach Snapple will do just fine.

My first time at a Wagamama, and it was wonderful! As an American, it was a bit odd to eat in suuch a relaxed setting(long tables rather than small individual tops), but the waitstaff was nice if rushed(we came during a busy lunch), and the food was warm and filling. Definately a treat rather than a staple as it is expensive, but overall very nice!

Despite a warning from my best friend and a previous experience here with very slow service, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place another go. Upon arrival we were immediately seated at a table with enough space for our baby’s pram to be parked somewhere that wouldn’t get in the way of other customers. Our waitress was quick in taking our order and our dinner actually arrived pretty fast. As always it was good, starters arrived first followed by our chicken katsu curries with rice. Despite being seated right at the back of the restaurant, I was so cold I ate my whole meal with my jacket still on. and so did many of the customers there. Keep in mind this was December 1st so we were all in heavy winter coats! We ordered our favourite dessert, the coconut ice cream with mango sauce and coconut flakes(you MUST try it if you like coconut & mango!) but this took longer to arrive than our food did. I saw the waitress who took our order lean over to take a peek at our table to see if we had got our dessert or not, then quickly bought it over. She obviously forgot or assumed someone else was bringing it over. I really like the food at Wagamama’s so I often have dinner here even if the service is a little slow. I didn’t like the fact that it was cold in this restaurant though — I want to be comfortable during my meal. It’s all on one level and although it looks as if it is suitable for those who are disabled, I would strongly advise against coming here if you have any problems with your back or legs. The seats are not the most comfortable and the toilets are up 4 flights of stairs! I completely forgot about this as the last time I was here was when I was pregnant and getting up and down all those stairs 5 times during my meal then having to sit on a hard wooden bench with no backrest was extremely uncomfortable.

Another in the chain of stylish canteen faux-Japanese eateries, with the usual range of noodle and rice-based dishes. All very tasty and quickly brought to your table, but a tad expensive — and given the Chop Chop Noodle Bar is literally around the corner, that might be a cheaper, if more low-fi experience.

Fast service, friendly staff, nice food. Absolutely love this place. The menu is pretty standard just like the other Wagamama. Being in the new Westfield shopping centre means that you can enjoy a nice healthy meal between shops. I’d recommend their Chilli Beef Ramen and Raw Juice. Note: They do have the most awkwardly located toilets it’s about 3 flights of stairs above the restaurants(I guess it’s a good way to work off that duck dumplings starters).
