I am not truly a fan of fusion food, but this food wasn’t too bad. The menu is quite extensive and for a person that has little knowledge about this kind of food it is kind of hard to decide what to eat. I ordered the duck ramen and it was pretty okay(and a whooping 950 cal). I left somehow hungry. The dumplings were really good, next time I would probably order just that and be done with it. Again, don’t base your decision on my review solely, if you do know the food better, you could probably order something that it is tasty.

Ramen is terrible, don’t try ramen. Tuna dish is also terrible, tuna is over cooked, it was almost like a gum. You have lots of other choices around this place. Please go to another one.

The first time I’ve ever done take-away at a Wagamama’s and i was pleasantly surprised. Their portions were just as good as when dished up sitting in, if not it felt even better. We got the pad thai with chicken and(of course) grilled chicken katsu curry. I waited 5 – 8 minutes for the food and cant complain. They certainly don’t drop their standards for take-away customers which is nice. The staff were lovely, although I was only their briefly they were happy to assist and very pleasant. I didn’t order any drinks, but i’m intrigued as to what they use for take away options.

You can’t beat a Wagamamas. Tasty, fast and reasonably priced — what more could you want? Perfect for a treat at lunch time or a quick meal after work. This branch has also started opening on Saturdays.

A nice place to go for a lunch by Moorgate. Not the cheapest Asian food out there, but the prices are still good for a quick City meal, especially considering how large the portions are. I think that compared to some pub lunch nearby, this is good value. I like that the menu is very descriptive and explains the different types of meals in detail, so even if you are an Asian fusion/Wagamama newbie, you get a good idea of what exactly you are ordering. The portions are huge, and the meals fragrant and tasty. If you order something marked as spicy, it’s not going to be truly Asian level fiery spicy, but it will still be pleasantly hot. As for drinks, definitely have the free green tea on the side, and perhaps try one of the yummy freshly squeezed juices. Oh, and be ready for the meals arriving at different times even for the same table. The Moorgate branch is spacious and pleasantly full of light entering through the glass and the local staff is nice and attentive.

The stereotype of British food is bland mediocrity. This no longer applies to 99% of British food. But the tradition of bland mediocrity is alive and well at Wagamama. Wagamama is an Asian fusion chain with outlets all over London. Asian fusion is generally a weak form — and in the United States it generally means B rate but servicable. Wagamama is not awful — and the food won’t kill you. It just doesn’t taste like anything. Note that the staff — at least here near Moorgate — tend to be very nice — and if you complain they will fix things. My most recent visit had a waiter scurrying to the kitchen to get extra sauce and with extra sauce the dish was fine. But why couldn’t the kitchen have done this in the first place? ((But then SOMEBODY must like bland Asian meh because there are Wagamama’s all over London and they are full of people. If you are one of those people, you can give Wagamama more stars. From my point of view — its better that the people who want nothing food go to Wagamama’s — — so I don’t have to wait in line at the Asian restaurants where the food has pizzazz and interest.

This place is the no-nonsense place to go to for lunch hour. The don-katsu bento box provides enough to fill you up, but not too much so you won’t be fighting the food coma afterwards. Reliable service, consistent quality food at a decent pace. No complaints.

I love this place(Wagamama in general — not just this particular restaurant) and always try to visit when we’re in town. I did branch out with the Yaki Soba instead of the yummy(but HUGE) Ramen that I usually have. The noodles were perfect — they tend to go light on the meat, so don’t expect ½ a plate of the meat they describe on the menu. The freshly squeezed juices are delicious — you can almost taste the vitamins!

Expensive, western style,(slow) asian fast food in an attractive setting… I always go into a Wagamama expecting something a little, well, better… or er, perhaps«authentic» is what I mean. The staff are great, and the restaurant set up is good, but the style of the food is somewhat lacking. Also, don’t bother with the Jasmine flowering tea. It should be served in a pot rather than a cup, it’s over brewed by the time it’s cool enough to drink :(

it is like any other Wagamama. Dependable, efficient, with a staff of unknown gender preference except it’s definitely not yours. Soup noodles are such a large portion you really can’t expect to consume the whole thing. It’s a good option during the cooler months when a hot spicy soup will warm you up. My preference is the amai udon, #43, and has been for years. Pan-fried udon noodles with fried tofu, prawns, spring onion, mungbean sprouts, tamarind sauce and crushed peanuts. The only sad part of the dish is the lime wedge, which is often dry and mealy and yields perhaps a single drop of lime juice to dress the dish. But it’s expected — this is hardly the Mediterranean. I like the details of the interior. Hooks on the wall to hang a jacket, hooks under the table to hang a handbag, and the table under the table to place whatever you can’t manage to hang. All this to keep the tables streamlined and clear of the disorganized baggage we hang off ourselves daily.

Tucked under the city point building in a small arcade of shops, bars and restaurants you’ll find this Wagamama. Simple tasty modern Japanese food, served quickly and efficiently.
