The Inari Sushi is delicious and the wasabi peas are the best I’ve ever had. The huge pots of pickled ginger are a definite advantage I need hundreds of the little sachets if I go to other places.

no no no, dont microwave your food in front of the customer because it just puts us off, do it in the back at least. Samurai’s mediocre food is not proportionate to how much they charge(which is a lot for what it is). This is one place where you have to eat your food on the same day

Takeaway Japanese food: sushi, sashimi, and hot meals including noodles, chicken katsu curry, etc. The service is very quick and the food is fairly reasonably priced for London. They also sell boxes of edamame, which are great. However, their curry and hot food is not quite as good as the other Japanese takeaways in the same area.

I have had the sushi here a few times and it is only average, nothing special, they have a fast selection but nothing special compared to the other shops close by. the flavours are nothing to write home about. I tend to go for the hot food they sell but it is all very bland and full of vegetables I guess to cut down on costs, but to fill the box the same. As above, the chicken curry is nice but a little watery and full of large pieces of Carrot to take up the room in the tub and not too much chicken

Although the food is decent given that it is a Japanese take-away shop, I have to give it only two stars. For the same price, tastier and better quality food can be had from Wasabi, another Japanese take-away chain. The sushi at Samurai taste distinctly average, with the rice usually very dry and clumpy. In contrast, the rice in their chicken katsu curry is way too sticky, almost having the consistency of porridge. Their sashimi is however quite decent and fresh, but again, for the same price Wasabi seems to be of superior quality. Edit: I wrote before that the Onigiris are value for money as they were only £1 each. They are still only £1, but they are so much smaller now that they look rather lame. Also, they have put up their prices on some of their sushi items too. For something not very good, you might as well go to a Wasabi instead.
