The Wishing Well was my old work’s local for a long time and we’d often frequent the place for a quick after work drink or two… or three!
I never really liked the vibe of The Wishing Well. It’s a little bit scummy, but you get the feeling it really tries not to be. The music is pretty rubbish (just MTV played on the TVs) and the drinks are really standard.
As far as food goes, it’s typical British pub fair. Nothing to shout out about. With the selection of amazing gastro pubs and great bars out there, this really doesn’t do anything for me. It’s just a little cheap old man boozer, not my thing.
