Described to us as «Where rich kids come when they want to be grundgy» — and that description was dead on. The Wellington club had a good dj, expensive drinks(mojito was amazing!), members only policy, open until 4AM, and interesting private rooms in the back(one is just a bed with leather sheets and pillows.) If I lived here I would definitely come back here to party!

Why is it always so cold in here??? Seriously, I always have regrets about checking my coat… Yet aside from feeling like you’re in a refrigerator, The Wellington can be a lot of fun. This is a really chill(literally and figuratively) kind of quirky, members club in Knightsbridge with a real neighborhood feel. The vibe is very Tim Burton-esque… between the glittering Damien Hirst skull-cum-disco ball hanging from the ceiling and the smiling skull-patterned wallpaper prettifying the hall, it’s all a touch Gothic, but more in a playful than sinister way. The club isn’t huge… mostly just a platform of tables overlooking the dance floor, and a backroom. Don’t come here to dance, the music is far from memorable… but the room off the dance floor offers a couple of pinball machines, which can be entertaining. Mostly you come here for a casual night out; just drinks and good conversation… I’ve generally found the crowd to be pretty sociable and nice. The manager here, is also really friendly and super welcoming, you can usually find her behind the bar… interacting with her, it’s almost like you’re a visitor at her house, and she just wants to make sure you feel comfortable — and that kind of goes for most of the bar staff. All said, this is a pretty relaxed, unpretentious club that’s a fine place for a drink and a bit of banter. I just wish they’d turn up the heat!!!
