The Queen’s Head is such a lovely pub! In terms of ambiance, this pub deserves 5 stars. The pub is massive and there is a huge outdoor space that is most probably always buzzing during the summer months. The pub has been recently renovated and there’s a bit of charm that makes this place quite endearing. In terms of food, I would give the Queen’s Head 3 stars. I ordered the burger, and I wasn’t too impressed. The bun was dry and the patty was unseasoned. Overall it wasn’t great, and I am not sure I plan to have another meal here. Regardless it’s my favorite neighborhood pub for a relaxing drink.

Great little pub located in the most unassuming suburban street. The prices may be on the higher side to what you may pay elsewhere, but don’t let that put you off — the food is worth it. If you’re feeling pinched ££wise, just get an entrée(they’re pretty massive). Food menu changes regularly which is both a blessing and a curse. Love the new items, but am sorely missing the mushrooms and Stilton on thick toast with a poached egg which was on the menu in April. Divine. Plz plz plz plz bring it back, Queens Head!

This is one of the hidden gems in Hammersmith. Located not far from the Broadway shopping center it is a cozy and friendly spot as good for afterwork happy hours as well as meeting friends and grabbing some food. I like the Camden Pale Ale that they have on tap. Plenty of space to sit as well as outside patio for warmer months. Really an outstanding example of English pub culture.

If only there were places like this in Denver, tucked away on a neighborhood back street, things would be better in this world. Ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic but this«easily confused for a home» pub has got to be the stomping grounds for anyone that lives in or around Brook Green. It’s a great place. The atmosphere is pubby(a new verb I just created) and is supported by good food and delicious local ales. The prices aren’t even that bad, another reason to make this a must stop while in the Hammersmith area.

It looks like a small pub from outside but it runs through backyard and birds are singing to oldie R&B which matches with the restaurant. Service is great and food was delicious. Visiting from LA it was a special treat and fun time.

Hands down the most spacious, beautiful garden I’ve ever seen. And the inside’s pretty gorgeous too.

Ahhhh the fabulous Queen’s Head … now this is why I love London pubs. It’s quaint, a step back in yonder years and has the BEST outdoor beer garden in the area. The menu is always substantial and reasonably priced. Not as outstanding as it used to be when they had a dedicated authentic chef, but it still passes as being an excellent eating location in the area. I still frequent this place regularly, particularly for night out with friends and when I need THE largest fish-and-chips dinner in the area. Massive meal every time!

Great little pub with a warm atmosphere and giant outdoor space. My other half used to work here way back when, before the refit. Hence, it’s close to us and we’ll go there semi-often to hang out. In summer is best, since the huge garden and new furniture are really very nice. It is busy, but if you’re lucky enough to get a table, you’re set. Also one of the few places to get the summer fruits Rekorderlig cider. They also do a very well attended quiz night, which is tough, but fun. Last time we went we had a chutney-tasting round! Make sure you book in advance. We also held Christmas drinks here, and even though they initially said they were fully booked, moved things around to accommodate us. Really helpful, and very impressive. Food is basic, but reasonable and will do when you’re out for an evening of booze(so, high carbs are the name of the game). All in all, a very nice place indeed.

Soulless but comfortable pub on the green. 4 ales on the pumps, £3 a pint. Mains from £8−12, no one in our group complained about the food. Where’s the character?

Nice pub… Sometimes Well kept beer, but on the one occasion that I ate here the food was absolutely appalling!

A pleasant pub with a huge back garden and a ramble though rooms in Hammersmith, just off the Shepherd’s Bush road. There are four well-kept ales at reasonable prices, and a healthy selection of lagers for those who hate flavour. Homey without having walls filled with tat, not a wobble in a chair, generally friendly(and patient!) staff(a quiet removal of a candle after *someone* at our table kept fooling with it & making it smoky). We didn’t have much food, but did have well-cooked chunky chips and both seafood & mediterranean platters. The only thing out of place was that one of the bar staff, I swear, was in his plaid pajama bottoms. I couldn’t quite work that one out.

My favourite pub in the area– feels a bit like a country pub which it was originally as a coaching inn in the days when Hammersmith was a town outside London. The food it good quality English food(including the odd Indian/Thai dish) and the selection of beers is excellent. Also had a good bottle of wine there on occasion. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap and it sits in the very weirdly posh Brook Green with Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush both just a short walk away. A great, traditional style pub with an amazingly spacious garden for summer evenings and just the right level of sociable noise.

I love this pub, it is a hidden gem located to the side of Brook green. It is a typical English pub with loads of character & good food, bit pricey but worth it. Out the back is a gorgeous garden much bigger than you would expect, it is pretty & tranquil with loads of atmosphere, well worth a visit, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Hammersmith town centre lies the sleepy gem — The Queens Head, those who make the effort to find this pub will be rewarded with a friendly welcome and be comforted by the warm, traditional interior. A favourite with local office workers during lunch times, in main due to it’s great food and amazing beer garden. Any pub that counts Terry Venables as a regular is worthy of a visit.

This pub is just a short walk from where I work in Shepherds Bush and is great for a big pub lunch or afterwork drinks in the summer. Inside it really is a traditional old pub with low beamed ceilings and rich chintzy carpets. Outside there is a massive garden which is unusal for London and a major selling point of the pub. The food is consistently pretty good, not amazing but we keep going back(especially when it has its 2for1 offer on). You can get all the usuals like fish and chips, steaks, pie and mash, burgers and jacket potatoes. They also have a good specials list which normally includes quite a few vege options like goats cheese tart or something similar. I haven’t been in the late in the evening but I imagine the atmosphere is nice. I also like the fact that it looks tiny from the outside but stretched on forever when you get in there!

I keep forgetting that this pub exists. Every now and again I remember and am glad that nothing has changed. It is still very much of a pub, great in summer with its massive garden; but also excellent in winter as it’s really cosy. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive. The prices are just like they are everywhere these days, but here you don’t regret spending your money. The only disappointment is the bell at the end of the evening.

The Queens Head is a bit like a country pub set in the urban oasis of Brook Green. Best visited on a summers day when you can take advantage of the mahoosive beer garden. Have never eaten there so can’t comment on the food. Good beer, nice atmosphere and good-looking crowd though.

The Queen’s Head looks like a fairly nice pub from its frontage on Brook Green: hanging flower pots, old windows, nicely painted. Step inside, though, and it’s much more pub than you would have thought possible. It’s very large inside with several rooms and many tables. Longer than the front of the building would suggest, you’d swear this pub — just a few minutes from Hammersmith — was an English country inn, it has that size and feel. Whereas the pubs up the road closer to Shepherd’s Bush get the BBC crowd, this place(I’m told) gets lots of music biz people throughout the week from the nearby EMI and Universal offices. If the weather’s warm, walk the distance to the back of the pub and outside: you’ll be startled once again by what must be one of the largest beer gardens in London. It’s absolutely massive. It goes on and on, table after table. Some are under cover, some are out in the open, and all are surrounded by hedges. Drinks are typical, with several lagers with a couple of ales(Bombardier when I was there) for beers.

I have been going to this little oasis or character in Hammersmith for the past couple of years and have watched the drinks prices steadily increase, but thats what you get in London. Inside it is styled like an Old English country pub and in fact there was a tavern there since 1600s. The food has slipped a bit but is still better than other options but can be a bit pricey. There is also massive beer garden at the back that comes into play during summer months
