The Prince Of Wales

Went in tonight for a few beers and the bartender seemed very unfriendly. We are from the United States and this is the second pub that has been rude and not inviting. We had finished our beers and sat there for a good 20 mins and she didn’t even come over to offer another round. I would never go to this pub again since there are so many in the area.

This place would have received 4 or 5 stars, if the bartender, had not been so outright rude and surly. The missus, is from Balham, London, was born there a year after WW2 ended. Knows her way around pubs. We’re a very polite couple, so we don’t go looking for confrontations. We were staying in Victoria, and walked down to this pub for lunch. We ordered, and told to sit down. A really surly waitress, brought our food, but I loved my bacon sandwich and the little woman was happy with hers, and our pints were great. Price was good too. We decided we’d come back for dinner, but when we went to order our drinks for dinner, the missus asked for a drink, that you can get anywhere else, and the bartender loudly sneered at her, if I don’t know about it, it doesn’t exist!!! We’d noticed at lunch, that a couple guys ordered at the bar, and the bartender pissed one of them off so bad, the other had to keep him from taking a swing at the asshole. Anyway, we walked out, and found a great place, and I had my first English Sunday roast :) To bad, we would’ve dropped quite a few a pounds over the next week at POWs, and since we’ll return to London, over the future years.

A pretty basic, fairly small pub, but I like it here. The staff are friendly, the beer selection is good, the WiFi is free and fast. There are a couple of TVs to watch any sports that may be on; otherwise, music is playing.
They have some food choices but it seems somewhat limited, and I have no experience with this. The bathrooms are also a bit dirty.
Overall, as a place to come for a drink, I like this pub quite a lot.

Walked by a few times during my short site visit to London. The atmosphere is a great pub feel and experience. The meat pie of chicken and mushrooms was very good. The beer was good too.

Typical London style pub. Not much going on atmosphere wise. Very quiet inside. Limited food on menu but traditional nosh on offer. A few ales on offer. About average price wise

Popped in for a pint and meat pie and fish & chips on recommendation from Gordon, a nice older gent we met when touring the city. Pints were great, meat pie was fantastic, fish & chips were meh. (Didn’t have very good fish in all of UK, probably a local thing.) Although a «Friendly» Game was on between England and Scotland, the atmosphere was congenial. We had a great night socializing dispite our lack of accent.
If/​when we return to London, we will definitely drop in here again.

Offenes Wifi, nette und hilfsbereite Bedienung. Somit absolut Ok– bestimmt kein Laden, den man unbedingt gesehen haben muss, wenn man aber ohnehin hier in der Nähe im Hotel ist, ist’s né nette Alternative zur Hotelbar!

Let me start this by saying they were playing the soundtrack to Neverending Story when we walked in so needless to say we were hooked. Football match came on while we were there and the placed filled up quickly. Good beer selection and the odds for our new game babies were calculated here. Bottoms up!

Nice but small pub, off the main street that heads to Victoria.
This pub is alright. I kind of like it’s size and layouta proper corner boozer. It serves a good pint of ale that did make me happy. I do hate to see 5 ale pumps, but only 2 available ales though. Seems like a wasted opportunity (to get wasted?) to me.
