After reading the new reviews for the restaurant here, checked it out. The food was pretty good, serving size for the pie was a bit smaller than expected but still good. Two negatives were, the bread and butter, if you have to buy it which is the case there, to only give three small pieces is a bit of a joke. The service, friendly staff but quite slow, and the food took a while to come out but once it came out, it was tasty.

We happened on this pub this afternoon(all jetlaged and confused), during their afternoon kitchen break. The chef went out of his way so much and went to the kitchen to make us wonderfully delicious, piping hot, huge plates of foods! The bartender was polite, prompt, and extremely helpful as well! I won’t hesitate on returning again. In fact you can count on it!

Only went for a drink, but nice small pub. Very friendly staff, will try the food next time.

Not a very big pub but I like it all the same. The Guinness was good and I met some very interesting characters in there… A pap, a writer and a candle stick maker! Well perhaps not the last one. Nothing much more to say about it other than it’s another happy addition to my list of London pubs, that are good to stop in for a pint of the black stuff!

Worst eating experience ever. Was told 45mins after I ordered fish and chips and a chicken burger that my food was not ready because the chef makes what is easiest first. I didn’t realise that fish and chips is a complicated dish in London but there you go. Noone told me why my food was taking so long, i had to get up to the bar to ask myself. Only about 10 other people there. The scam they run is to take payment up front, then not deliver food in a timely manner. Will never be back.
