The Honor Oak is probably the closest pub to where I live. It has a bright airy feel, service is good and the atmosphere friendly. I have eaten there twice now and the food is well presented and very tasty. would recommend

I’ve been here twice since it reopened so I’m basing my review on both visits. It is a really pretty pub. I like how the staff have a check shirt policy, I think this fits in well with the place and it all looks really well thought out. Drinks are pricey here. I was surprised by this. It has a very trendy vibe and a little big clinical feel to it„ and so they miss out on the comfort I like in my locals. I hope it gets a more«lived in On my first visit, they took my card to set up a tab. At the end of the night, the barman couldn’t find my card, so the manager took over. He got incredibly stroppy with me saying«we don’t take cards” — well you took mine! I get that he was tired, but making me feel like it was my fault was a crappy move! A very nice bar man took a quick look and handed it over. My second visit, we ordered a pint and a g + t from the most surly barmaid Ive ever met. It was like we were putting her out by ordering. She tipped the tonic in at such a speed, half overflowed and the result was a flat drink. Thankfully another bar man replaced it, but I got the feeling it wasn’t the first time that had happened! I’ve not eaten here, but the restaurant part looks great. However, after my first two experiences, I don’t think I’ll be giving it a go…

Unilocal listen! The Honor Oak is open(not closed as Unilocal states) and the food is great. After two meals: For the first, I’ve had the Slow Roast Pork Belly with caramelized apples, Celeriac Purée and Sage Sauce for the main course and Victoria Plum Crumble and English Custard for dessert; and, for the second, the I had the«lunch special» Warm Steak Salad with roast cherry tomato and horseradish cream and mustard dressing and, for dessert, the Burnt Trinity Cream with Raspberry Compote. The beer selection contains local craft beers that are far shy of what we get in Austin TX but is nevertheless good. This has proven to be a good home away from home. The wait staff are friendly helping me with getting around London and recommendations of things to do. If I lived here this would be a frequent place to visit.
