Meh. ok food. Good if you are waiting for a colleague after arriving on an earlier flight. Right next to the exit from baggage claim. Service isn’t super fast, you are better off at Café Nero if you need a quick bite while you’re waiting.

This is actually rather cosy for an airport pub and the fact that i was slightly curious about the bass keg stuff they had on, but didn’t have chance to try it may well mean that I will be back! Airport prices of course! 4.40 for a pint of Greene King IPA is I guess, unfortunately to be expected. The food was rather dear too! Near the multi faith room, have a beer while your friends pray.

What’s a toastie? Thats how my conversation with a charming bartender started at the Globe in Heathrow airport. Both our looks of confusion were quite amusing, I had no clue what a «toastie» was and he didn’t get that I didn’t know what it was. A toastie, for those not in the know, is basically a toasted sandwich similar to a panini, but with, well toast. Anyhow, I figured it out, ordered my pint and the most deliciously toasty, cheesy sandwich landed on my plate. It was simple thing with ham and what I’m convinced was aged cheddar, a side of chips and life was grand! Some of the best airport eating I’ve had!
