It was time to head back to the states. It had been my first intro, to the UK, thanks to my British girlfriend. Caught a black cab, to terminal 3, for our Virgin Atlantic, flight home. My lady, saw this place, and decided to go in an kill a bit of time before boarding and takeoff. I was feeling a bit of sadness in saying good bye to England, and some anxiety about the flight back to SFO, although, the flight over, had been flawless. We sat down and the staff was so sweet and attentive. We both had the full English breakfast, and I had a nice proper pint. The place just cheered me up. They asked about where we were heading, and where we were from, etc., and it was busy in there, so I really appreciated the attention, and would go back in a heartbeat.

I was really surprised at the selection of food and drinks at this airport restaurant. Having not spent a lot of time with my friend whilst she was visiting, I wanted to send her to the airport and grab a drink with her just before she got on the plane. What I loved was the ease of service they gave and the comfy sofas we sat on. It definitely helped ease her anxiety of flying, which is always a good thing. The Food: We ordered a scotch egg and some pull-pork croquettes to share and they were delicious. My friend, who has never tried scotch egg before, said it was amazing and only wished that she had tried one sooner. The pulled pork croquettes were alright. In terms of drinks, they had a wonderful variety(no Crabbies, but something similar). Atmosphere: Relaxing. Good ambiance music. That’s an absolute necessity when you’re about to fly. Service: The bar service was quick and the servers knew exactly how to help me get what I needed(which is always a great thing when you have limited time to spend). They were friendly and even had good conversation with us. Sad to say that I won’t be back here often as it’s all the way out in Healthrow Terminal 3. No one will trek all the way there just from some A-OK pub food. But when you’re in Terminal 3, with some time to spare before you head off through security and your gate… This is a great place to wind down and say goodbye to a dear friend.

I liked the setting of this café as it reminded me of the Artist Residence Boutique hotel I went to. Cozy, playful and friendly staff. There’s a neat breakfast bar as you walk in with fruits, bread, croissants etc, couches to exaggerate on the coziness and pretty tables and chairs surrounded by book shelves which sheltered old books and decors. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Attentive and good service is always important. The reason I’m down grading it to a 3 star instead of higher is because one of poached eggs(I had the eggs Benedict) was solid and not runny and my fellow dinner ordered the three bells breakfast which is meant to come with a fried egg but was served without. What that tells me is little attention to detail and the rush of a chef who forgot the main things in the meal. Aside from that, the food was good once consumed and the orange juice was freshly squeezed which is always a perfect thing to add to breakfast. In terms of cost, it was moderate with breakfast costing about £7 on average(unfortunately, that’s the London standard). I could see myself going back if I was stuck at heathrow and wanted a cozy place to read a book or have some sort of me time.

Happily surprised when we arrived at Heathow’s Terminal 3 and found this beautifully decorated and atmospheric gastropub. Not only does the menu offer a vast array of vegan and vegetarian options, the staff are friendly, knowlegible and attentive. We got the vegetarian breakfast — which minus the eggs and the butter on the toast; is vegan. And is offered all day. The décor is welcoming, warm, homely and cool. Having struggled a little the day of departure to eat a fulfiling vegan meal; The Three Bells delivered on all counts.

Great place for a quick bite to eat and drink! Modern/Shabby chic interiors, quiet spacious — so no worries if you’re carrying a big hand carrier– I almost forgot I was at an airport. My friend recommended Croque Madame and let me tell you I loved it so much I was tempted to order another. A wonderful place to dine before flying out to your final destination!

This where I would wait for someone arriving on a flight. Youngs Bitter, Bombardier, Doom Bar or more likely one from an interesting selection of foreign bottled beers Its maybe not as cosy looking as its local rival The Globe, but this is an airport… they don’t do cosy… it wins pretty much any other comparison between the two, the important ones to me being beer and price!

Great place for a quick burger! This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and both times I had a great experience. They are fast and the quality for an airport restaurant is pretty good. Definitely reccomend it for a fast quality meal before catching your flight. Also they have a good variety of ciders and beers.

Had the Full English Breakfast here… a decent attempt at the classic fry-up. Only complaint was that the toast wasn’t very toasted(basically warm white bread). Pleasant(non-Polish staff???) and surroundings… recommended!

My best friend was going to be on layover for about four hours one day, so I met up with him and we found the closest pub we could in Terminal 3 at Heathrow. It happened that the Three Bells turned out to be a quite decent place. They had several sofas, captain chairs and the usual bar stools, dining tables, etc. e options were pretty decent. I had the pulled BBQ pork sandwich and was pleasantly surprised when it s quite barbecue tasting and even had a bit of a kick to it! Overall, if you need to meet up with anyone or grab a quite bite to eat and a pint and our in the Terminal 3 area(above Virgin Atlantic), I recommend heading here. As a bonus, their fireplace is a TV with a fireplace DVD playing on it… classic!

Never appears to be enough staff, especially at the bar. Ordered a burger, basic and dripping with grease. Not impressed.

I’ve come to the conclusion that regardless of which major UK transportation hub you’re passing through, a solidly decent Full English is never far away. Heathrow’s Terminal 3 doesn’t deviate from this claim. The Three Bells offers a homey respite from the congestion found just outside its foyer. Simple couches adorn the front, and more traditional seating can be found in the rear, including a massive booth in the corner. And while it seems to take an inordinate amount of time to be served, even with just a handful of diners, my veggie breakfast was massive, savoury, and satisfying. Extra props to the crispy tater tot triangles. Just don’t think about their caloric value. This is definitely quite the find for being airport food — just be sure to have plenty of time before your flight. You’ll need it.

Best food I’d had in a week. Fresh fish, fresh salad, I can’t say enough about fresh food after a week on a boat. More comfort than quality, if that makes sense.

The Three Bells is a restaurant/bar/bistro in Terminal 3 of Heathrow Airport, landside. That means you can eat there before you fly, and it’s right near the loos if you like to wee before you go through security or whatnot. Airport dining is never the finest, but the Three Bells offers decent food at a slightly pricey cost, but nothing extravagant. My husband and I both had Eggs Benedict, which was very good. The Hollandaise sauce was nothing amazing, probably from a packet, but did not have a packet taste. The eggs were freshly and well poached, and the muffins crisp but tender. The coffee and tea were both gourmet, with a good selection of choices on both. The service was fine, with a nice waitress who was friendly but not overbearing, and two managers buzzing around ordering stock, tidying and helping customers. The manager even bussed our table when we were waiting to pay. There is a full bar there, with some great beers and real ales on tap — there is nothing quite like seeing an Englishman order a pint of bitter before 10am — warms the cockles of the heart, or rings alarm bells in the head, whichever comes first. The menu for breakfast is pretty solid, with 6 – 8 very nice choices, including a full English breakfast. The poncey old man sitting next to us was asked by his waitress if everything was ok, and replied whingingly that his food was cold, but in typical British fashion, when asked if he wanted a replacement, declined and stolidly and martyredly ate his ice cold food(from which we could still see the steam rising). But the waitress handled it with aplomb. There are power points and Wi fi, and also Broadband connections if your laptop isn’t wi fi capable. The chairs are comfy and there are several sofas and armchairs scattered thoughought, so the Three Bells is a pretty comfortable place for the weary world traveller waiting for her next adventure.

Nice enough place in Terminal 3, Lanside, Heathrow Airport. No real ale, though serves food all day. I was questioned by the police for taking the photograph, you can see the officer on the right side of the picture.
