The Earlsfield is a pub tucked in beside Earlsfield Train Station on Garrett Lane. In fact, it almost feels a part of the station itself, with a long railway carriage style dining area ending in a window through to the station. The décor is dark and smoky, which suits the American-influenced menu — ribs, steak, brisket, buffalo wings, they even do an all you can eat ribs option — but there are other options if you’re not keen on a carnivorous feast. I went with the seafood risotto which came with two massive bbq king prawns on top, yum! The food was tasty(albeit a little pricey) and the service was great, I desperately want to go back and try the peanut butter chocolate tart!

Get a good craft ale and the amazingly delicious pork belly bites. Be annoyed about: The prices. Think central London. How busy it is. Not really their fault. Enjoy: The best beer selection in Earlsfield. Brewdog, By the Horns, Kona and many more. The menu. Again expensive, but delicious and changes daily. The bike racks. They’re on the side of the building! Vertical bikes! The railway memorabilia.

The place looks great but it’s confused at what it wants to be. Is it a pub, restaurant, sports bar, American grill, cocktail bar? Who knows, but let’s hope it decides soon. Food was good apart from the potted shrimp, this was inedible and I nearly gave one star due to the fact that they served this pot of yellow lard and stinky fishy tiny shrimp. BBQ ribs were great and I had a steak. All good, a bit pricey for a pub, but good. Side dishes were nice also. The service is rough and very unpolished, but they were happy and friendly, if untrained. Another good addition to earksfiekd and I’m sure they will get better. I will go again and change my review if it gets better. Kx
