Lovely venue for a drink after work. This place has a very chilled atmosphere and the staff are friendly. I have also come here for a roast which was a good experience. Although quite dear it is worth it. The décor is quite cool in this venue. Would highly recommend it.

What a fantastic Sunday afternoon find! We had the German sausage platter and Poutine, which left us so full, we had to forego dinner completely(late lunch!). Not a beer drinker myself, I had a delightful fruity beer that was neither too fruity nor to beer-y(Floris Ninkeberry) and my other half enjoyed the beer recommended by our knowledgeable waiter. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Amazing selection of beers unfortunately the food let it down. 4 of us decided to share a selection of onion rings, buffalo wings, scotch egg, chips, bacon dog-ettes, mac n cheese & foot long pork scratchings. The pork scratchings were amazing and would be fantastic as a snack with a couple of great beers but everything else just wasn’t up to standard. The mac n cheese was bland, the scotch egg hardly had any ‘scotch’ and the wings tasted like they’d gone off! I will certainly go back to this bar but just for the beers, maybe I’ll try a burger next time as they get great reviews.

I found this pub quaint and charming. Its beer selection was impressive and included several I haven’t seen before(that is always a treat in a local pub). The staff were friendly and personable– the burgers are very good. Overall I found it a great pub to frequent.

Best burger I’d had in awhile, and I’d had 3 that week. I have a problem. don’t judge me. I ordered for lunch the ‘Rare Breed’ meat patty thats made with 5% bone marrow with cheddar cheese and chipotle sauce and a fried egg on top. Holy mother of all things holy was this good. I actually think I had a food-gasm when I bit into the first bite of burger. Just… so. damn… GOOOD!!!

While the Drafthouse Westbridge will always hold my heart, the Drafthouse Northcote isn’t too shabby. Lunch and drinks were yummy, as expected, but the service was a bit on the spotty side. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes to get the attention of anyone willing/able to get us our bill. As this location is now closer to us than our old standby, I expect we’ll give it at least a few more tries. It’s not as cosy as the Westbridge, but the green chairs are pretty fun.

we got meat bombed… and we liked it. great selection of local and international beers, including some epic ipas from the west coast(at a price!). service was dependable and attentive. six hops dark star british ipa — the hops in this beer explode through the nose. hoppiest beer we’ve ever had. st stephanus belgian and bitter & twisted english lager — mild and enjoyable. oaked arrogant bastard — tasty pulling flavor from the barrel, mellower more settled version of the original. onion rings — greased to perfection pairing with beer.

Not a traditional pub, more of a restaurant with a small bar with a strong beer focus at the front. However, this doesn’t detract from how nice the bar area is(not been for the food yet) with lots of bar stools accommodating weary legs. Behind the bar you will find an amazing selection of draft beers — which is constantly changing and evolving. You can expect at least one American craft beer, Belgium beers and lots of different options from these fair isles. There must be 18 beers or so on offer at any one time. This is backed up by staff who know the beer list and are able to make great recommendations to the patrons. I look forward to coming back for some food sometime soon — the Monday night burger and pint for £9.95 sounds good, as does the Flat Iron steak on Tuesday evenings.

Great Pub, 15 draught beers all well kept and served in their own glasses, 50 bottled beers from near and far. Lots of fun trying to taste them all, I tried doing it in pints but they do serve 1⁄3rd of a pint glasses too for the less ambitious! small, but very friendly and well decorated, and if conversation runs dry the even have a small magnetic dartboard on the wall, magic!

A proper meaning looong lunch with The Wine Chap and the Gerber Girls. I’m biased but I felt the general feeling was that the scotch egg is as good as it gets. I’m feeling pretty confident re our entry in the Scotch Egg Challenge at The Ship next week. Special mentions also for the super size bottles of Yeti espresso stout abv 9.5% and the Page 24 Tripel abv 7.5%. Both in superior form.

Great place for Sunday dinner. Big beer selection, that is paired off with dishes on the menu(as Timeout 2010 had recommended). One of the friendliest staffs that has American style service(what! You came back in the middle of the meal to make sure everything is ok?!). The fish & chips and burgers are consistently delicious, order with a side of onion rings and save some room for the brownie toffee pudding if it’s on the day’s menu! Only downside is the beef roasts we’ve had are somewhat rare and nothing special, except the delicious, traditional Yorkshire. The oddly tall and teetering tapered candles in wine bottles that come out around dusk are also a little odd and somewhat of a fire hazard after a few pints of ale.

Seriously wonderful pub — which has a HUGE selection of beers from all over the world. Some of them can be a bit of a rip-off(being charged a fiver for a pint of Sierra Nevada is extremely irritating when I used to pay $ 8 for a six pack while living in California), but it’s all really good stuff, with a massive British and continental selection. They fix an awesome Bloody Mary too. Only eaten here once and the food was pretty decent. The weekend brunch menu looks fantastic, but i’ve never actually made it in time to sample it. It can get very busy, but if you can get there early enough they have some seats outdoors. Very friendly service — they remembered me the second time I went in and that was over a fortnight after the first visit, at which time I only had a beer.

Sought this place out last night, was busy for a Tuesday night, great range of beers on tap and bottled, a range matched by very few places elsewhere in the capital. The head waiter/barman was very friendly and knowledgable about the beers, making recommendations. Their strength seems to be in keg draft rather than real ales, although there are a few real ales, including the very fine Wandle. Food was faultless, I had a potted ham hock for starter, scallops with black pudding and pea purée for a main, fantastic!

Good info but the Draft House is in Battersea, not Clapham…(as is the rest of SW11).

Loved all the ideas about this place and although the range of beers can be matched elsewhere in London, it cannot be completely beaten in my opinion. The food looked and smelled amazing, and the beers were varied and well kept. The barman was unfailingly knowledgeable and patient as I eventually settled for 3 third-pints of different but wonderful ales. However, there are a few things which can’t be helped that mean this Draft House isn’t quite everyone’s pint of tea. Given the very structure of the building, it feels a bit cramped inside and when we were there we could only get stools, unless we wanted to eat. It also becomes rather an assault course if people are pushing baby buggies towards the pram park. The long-legged Arnie, that is me, says: «I’ll be back.» The short-arsed Danny DeVito, that is my Glaswegian girlfriend(providing she doesn’t read this), says: «Nae wi’ those high stools an’ prams, aam nae.»
