I came here for a friend’s birthday and whilst we didn’t stay long(we were doing a bit of a pub crawl!) I liked this place. It was more the atmosphere that struck me than the drinks. It was an interesting layout that made the place feel very intimate and not spread out and sprawling like many pubs. You could have a private conversation whilst tucked away in your own little corner of the place. We tried to go out onto the balcony, but it was a bit too crowded so we stayed inside which was just as well since it was a bit chilly.

In the centre of Covent Garden this small English Pub offers the BEST lager I’ve ever tasted-‘Skinners’-which I have been unable to find anywhere else in London so far! You get a real taste of Cornwall being in this smuggler’s den like venue and having the smell of Cornish pasties wafting up the stairs from the pasty shop below. You have to hunt out this place through the market stalls and crowds of people enjoying the street acts but once you’ve found it you won’t want to leave! Its balcony looks out over the performance area of Covent Garden and it gives off a really friendly vibe that makes you want to go back again and again! It’s a fabulous place at Christmas as well when they put the huge Christmas tree up outside in the market.
