The goat’s cheese and chive gnocchi is everything gnocchi should be: buttery, creamy and a firm texture. The chunks of butternut squash and almonds complement the generous portion given. Friendly bartender as well. Only minus a star for a lack of takeaway containers.

Decent Sunday lunches but there’s been a few times where we’ve been disappointed where dishes are not available on the Saturday menu… even ehen we’re the firsts to arrive for lunch. A great place for a drink and catch-up with friends and for hosting larger dinner or drinks parties. Private hire is available, there’s a separate function toom upstairs which is fab for parties. There’s also amble of seating outside… so you can appreciate a glass of wine and some tasty starters in the sunshine. A baby-friendly pub and a great hangout with friends and family.

A great selection on tap straight from the Young’s brewery at decent prices. Despite the nice and scenic location, it can be, surprisingly, quite dearth of any custom. In any case, it is still well worth a visit for a quiet pint and perhaps stick around for a meal if the kitchen is in action.

This is a new gastro pub on one side of Peckham Rye Park. The overall impression is positive when you walk in, with nice décor, and fairly spacious. We went for a sunday roast, and it was quite busy, with lots of families and small children. This was OK for us, as our group included a couple with a two-month old. Our table happened to be near the baby changing room, so I think we eventually saw every small child in the place. Overall it’s a pleasant scene. The food menu is impressive, but I have to say they partly failed on the execution of it. I had pan-fried plaice and it looked very good, and it was initially delicious, but once I got into it, part of it was not cooked well. It was served with clams and they were tasty also, but one of the clams was«off» which I find kind of scary. I managed to intercept it before it was able to do its damage. I think shellfish should really be looked over by the cook before serving. Later with our dessert some of us ordered coffee and tea, and the dessert came but the coffee never did. We had to ask again, and after that it still took quite a long time. I had the impression that they weren’t really that interested in making coffee at that point in the late afternoon. By the time it came everyone had finished eating the puddings. The custard that came with some of the desserts seemed a bit old — let’s say it had a bit of a skin across the top, which could be due to the late afternoon timing, but it still seems inexcusable for a pub that charges these types of prices. My dish was over 15 quid just for the main. There was one dish on the menu at 20 pounds for the main. The mains weren’t big enough on their own to fill you up, so again it’s quite overpriced for the quality that I experienced. Aside from the food, it’s a nice place, with a decent beer selection, including some english ales, and an india pale ale from London Fields brewery on tap. I would probably go back, but be more selective about the food.

one of my two locals, the other being the Rye. this place has recently been yuppified from a proper local to a gastro shabby chic cardboard cut out of a place. now that all sounds pretty negative but its clean, airy, big enough for a good crowd inside and the outdoor area has a nice outlook over the common. they have a great selection of beers on tap, the wine list is average. their cocktails seemed reasonably priced and the bloody mary I had was way decent. my gripe is with the food, again… brioche bun doth not maketh the burger. stingy amounts of fries and overpriced at £12.95. the other selections didn’t really stand out. also the staff… hmmm…not rude, but not pleasant either. cheer up eh? i should probably give 2 stars but as its a local spot i’ll keep it at 3.

It was my first time at this place tonight and I fell in love with it. There really is a great spirit to the place. If you’re going there for either food or drink I promise you, you will not be disappointed. I was full but kept on eating because the food was so delicious! If you need a place to go out to, look no further.

This is exactly how a pub should be. My boyfriend and I stumbled over this place on the way to Lordship Lane on Boxing Day. The staff were warm, welcoming and had a great sense of humour. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The place had a great atmosphere and was buzzing with locals especially families. The only drawback is that I ordered a coffee and it was slightly burnt BUT I is at a pub and the barmaid admitted she never made one before as she is normally in the kitchen.

This is an old traditional pub overlooking Peckham Rye park. It has a nice outside seating area which is fantastic in the summer and they do great barbeques. The bar staff are really friendly and the drinks selection is good. There are various nooks and crannies to enjoy your drinks/food in and it has a nice homely feel to it. The Sunday roasts are huge and really tasty! Nice to stop off for an after work drink or spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon. A quieter pub but really lovely.

Great place to sit in the summer for a drink over-looking Peckham Rye. Friendly pub with a good menu and bustley without being overcrowded. Away from the main Dulwich strip on Lordship Lane but is could be a good destination pub especially in summer evenings for a meal and a quiet drink.

This traditional Youngs pub, with it’s dark wood interior, is quite large but still feels nice and cozy. Perfect Sunday fodder for those in recovery position or for somewhere to take the parentals. The range of drinks and ales are good, the food menu is quite vast and sunday roasts are good, though there’s nothing particularly amazing about the menus or food to be honest. My personal preference is for somewhere a bit more modern but for small groups or something safe you could do worse.
