I picked up some staples several times during a stay here. Each time the food and vegetables were fresh and the employees were extremely friendly.

Like rats it feels Iike you are never more than 10m from a Tesco. A plague spreading across our neighbourhoods killing off the independent stores. This particular store had a major revamp just before Christmas and is better for it. They have added a coffee store and breads from Euphorium Bakery. I shop here Sunday nights while the kids train at Cally Pool and on the whole it’s pretty well stocked. A necessary evil I guess although I am always happier if I shop with a cup of coffee in hand…

this a legitimate conversation i had in this tesco with one of their employees: me: hi. what aisle are the CRISPS in? employee: you mean the frozen potatoes??? chips??? me: no, i mean crisps. like doritos… i’m trying to talk like you employee: frozen chips — aisle 5 *a stupid amount of time goes by. aka 5 minutes, but that’s ages when you’re asking something so basic* me: CRISPS! I KNOW I HAVEANAMERICANACCENT, BUT I’M SPECIFICALLYSAYINGCRISPSSOWEDON“T HAVETHISISSUEOMG I JUSTWANTDORITOS! and then he had to get another employee to assist, because the whole convo was obvs just mind bowing, as you can see… another time i asked for frozen yorkshire puddings and nobody knew where they were OR what they were… i thought i was in laaandon verdict — this tesco pretty much sucks but it’s close to my flat and you can top up your phone so because of that, i’ll keep going :[

The usual Tesco fare and in a good location but the queues are not helped by the frequency with which self-checkout machines are found to be out of order.

While this location is great for those living in the Kings Cross Area, I’d much rather prefer to walk the twenty minutes to Sainbury’s. At first, I loved Tesco-it was close to my apartment, and it was the only grocery store I knew about. However, after a few weeks I realized that I wasn’t satisfied with the food I was finding there. The fruits and and vegetables seemed a day past fresh and the selection was nothing to brag about. Let’s face, it London is not known for its food but if you’re doing the shopping and cooking yourself you should be able to find something that fulfills your cravings. I do still shop for wine at this location though-they have a great 3 for 10 pounds deal that I take advantage of!

This is my local Tesco and completely brilliant. The prices are very good considering how close it is to King’s Cross, I would advise all travellers to stock up here. There is always erduced stuff in the evenings, and at teh moment they’ve got plenty of dvds cheap as well. They’ve run out of the cheap casarecce(if that’s how it’s spelt) pasta, and I know why. Self service machines and tills at teh rear, and two cash machines, one inside and one outside.
