A wholesome pub, good selections of ales and a great vibe!

I think this could easily be a 4 star depending on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for a little corner pub to catch a game at, this is straight up your alley. You know, one of those pubs where when the games return from commercial, everyone’s heads turn up to the monitors and you can practically hear a pin drop. I have a distinct feeling that since it’s surrounded by pubs, that there’s a solid bunch of regulars that have earned their places that hold up the walls. Great Sutton Street is kind of like Plinko, everyone will either settle into Slaughtered Lamb, 1920, or here. Since I’ll typically settle into a different scene, I’ll leave the good seats for the regulars, but it is a nice little corner pub.

Smallish pub serves a couple of ales and a guest(love guest aleseven if it was Whitstable Bay which I am very familiar with). There are also a few tables outside on the road. S-Express being played quite loud, taking me back to my childhood. This pub is alright, but nothing special(apart from the Scottish barmaid, who’s accent made my toes curlin a good way.)
