Awesome window stickers. Cool little shop in the basement as well.

I’m a fan of weird art and it doesn’t come more weird or wonderful than at Supernice. What do they do here that makes them so strange and so nice? Wall decals. But not just stickers that look like stickers but pure on creatively designed fantastic decals that feel like a centre piece of a room. These aren’t tacky or college dorm-room feeling but real, unique, works of art that just happen to be stuck on railed than nailed in. So what do they have? Clocks with the outlines of people, monsters falling from the sky, lamps and plants that look like real lamps or plants, beautiful creations, wacky drawings and, yes, even some decals that will turn your wall into a giant frozen screen shot of PacMan, Asteroid or Donkey Kong. … Ok, some of them do feel college dorm-roomy. But still awesome. Decals range from £20 to £80 and are all amazing. A lot of the stuff they don’t have in the rather small one-room store(with some more things to check out in the basement), but anything can be ordered, and it will give you a feel for what they look like on the wall. Check it out, you will be happy you did.

If you like the stuff from their website and live in London, why not just come to the store and check out the wall decals for yourself? I am both impatient and don’t like to measure things(I am an eyeballer), but I thought after spending around £100 on stickers, I should probably apply them carefully. Even with my lack of finesse for such projects, I found the decals really easy to apply and they look great. The store is a fabulous place to browse, too. So even if you’re not in the middle of a home makeover, they have cutesy gifts(stick on moustache, anyone?) and random items like wrapping paper and cards as well. Check the opening hours before you go, however. They are open by appointment during the week, and select hours on Sat and Sun.

I am going to abstain from using the adjective SUPER to describe every wall decoration /sticker /card /plate in this store, but it will be tough. So I am going to keep it simple: If you are looking for an alternative to wallpaper /painting /or the unoriginal poster, supernice may be your answer. Supernice sells dozens(a hundred?) unique patterns and prints you can stick to your wall where-ever your heart desires, and then taken them down when you no longer desire :) From a colorful giraffe in your bedroom, to a chandelier over the dining room table, to birds to a fishing pole over your toilet, the possibilities are endless. Now if only the price wasn’t the limiting factor :)

Got those white walls around you that you cannot touch thanks to the lovely contract you signed? Well click here: to order online or go visit the shop during the weekend to browse some wall art you can stick on and remove. Once you don’t like it anymore or are moving out of your apartment it will be easy to go back to those white walls again… Btw I get compliments all the time on the supernice wall art in my living room ;)

Supernice is Superfreakingawesome. Thanks to Supernice, which I believe is the only UK retailer of Blik vinyl wall decals, I have a living room wall of Super Mario Brothers and a bedroom wall of Super Beautiful Flowers. That’s not really an Appropriate Use of Capitalisation but I didn’t want the Flowers to feel left out and Not So Super. Supernice also has Super Cool Greeting Cards and about 80 other Super Sweet Wall Decals. The decals usually run between £45−60, which is sort of Superexpensive, but worth it when your friends see how Supercalifragilisticexpialadocious your walls look.

What I love about Supernice is that it gives us all the ability to be the artists we would love to be if… we were actually talented enough!(I speak for myself here) Supernice, which stocks a brand called Blik, which is, in turn, an umbrella for a group of designers who make a series of inventive and colourful wall designs to be stuck wherever you see fit. The designs range from whimsical to technical, and are created by a series of talented people — one being the late great Keith Haring. These stickers(the website calls them decals, but I will stick with the simple), are stuck on your wall, and create a look of hand painted art. My favourite is the red balloons, look out for this on the website. I like the Columbia Road venue of Supernice, it is perfectly suited; my only complaint is that it gets so busy here! That is probably due to the limited opening hours. Unless you know exactly what you want, I would avoid coming here on a Sunday late morning/afternoon if you want help from staff members or to browse — you will probably get jostled out of the shop by other customers!

This shop has a fantastic range of innovative urban art used in design pieces for the home. I was fascinated to see the illustrative designs for here, as I had orginally spotted them in a grafitti book I have at home. Supernice sells incredable illustrations which you can directly transfer on to your walls to spice up and personalise a section of home. This beats wall paper, and can look state of the art. they also have some funky cushion covers, crockery and cards. I love this shop and I think everyone should have a look!
