This little window is by far my favorite thing about the Columbia Road flower market. Grab a coffee from one of the countless trendy cafes in the area, order some tiger prawns(don’t forget the delicious home made thousand island sauce) and post up on the curb for a true East London experience. Seriously, it doesn’t get much better then hearing the flower vendors yelling ‘two for a fiver’ while munching away.

Unless you have religious excuses, I dare you NOT to eat the gorgeous tiger prawns and succulent calamari served up by Lee’s every Sunday when you visit the Columbia Road Flower Market. What’s that? You’ve already eaten them? I thought so… most of London must’ve dipped a small tub of Lee’s seafood in a dab of their thousand island at some point in their life. It’s a Columbia Road rite de passage. Lee’s has diversified to cumberland sausage rolls and what not, but it’s the tiger prawns and the A++++ calamari that are the old school stars and have kept a hungry queue by Lee’s window every Sunday for 15 years.
