Steak & Co

My boyfriends parents are here on holiday, we really like the St Martins Lane restaurant so we thought we would take them to this one. Service was rather bad, it took them a while come and ask for our orders, when the food did come out the orders were all wrong and the steaks came out already mostly cooked so those who wanted rare got well done. I think only one person got even close to the right thing. The music was very loud, wasnt background music, was overpowering. I saw a couple next to us having dessert and it looked really good but by the time we have finished our meals we were so unimpressed that we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Only reason this isnt a one star review is because the food was still edible unlike some london restaurants we have been to. Huge ups to the St Martins Lane branch, we really loved our dinner there a few weeks back but leicester square was a major let down.

Definitely going down in the books for the one of the juiciest, succulent steaks I’ve had.
The lunch menu is ideal and a great value for your money, especially when it comes to good quality meat. Although the description of the food may not seem like a lot, it fills you up just right.
Dig the hot stones concept as you can cook you own steak to your preference.
However, I was disappointed with the mac and cheese, it was so bland. While I understand it’s not a staple dish, it pairs well with beef so it should be somewhat decent.

I’m not a fan of those meat restaurant but I have to say we were pretty hard customers and the staff really tried their best to make us happy. I sent back my sweet potato because I wanted them baked and not fried and my mom complained about her meat which was cold and they got her a new one. Very nice ! The food was good even though I think they could be more generous with portions.
