I like this place, they have very good quality, tasty Thai food. It’s nice and quiet, what is lacking in ambiance is a bit of Thailand. The restaurant is styled as a modern eatery, so when you walk in — you could be walking in into a Modern European, or Chinese, or American, or whatever type of a restaurant. It’s good for work dinners, it’s good for friend catch ups, but if it had the atmosphere to it, I would give it 5 stars as the food is moderately priced, delicious and service is good and attentive.

CLOSEDASOFAUG2015 Sri Thong is a delightful Thai restaurant convenient to Liverpool Station. We sampled the Singapore Noodles with Chicken, Masaman Beef, and Fine Beans(tasted very like green beans) and Coconut Rice. All the dishes were tasty and fresh, and I would recommend any of them. Come eat here, you will leave happy!

If you’re staying near Liverpool(or even if you aren’t and are looking for an adventure) I would highly recommend Sri Thong. I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant: small and quaint. The food was delicious, too. The best Panang I’ve had in years. It was the best meal I had during my stay in London. DELICIOUS.

As mentioned by other reviewers, Sri Thong is hidden away in a little laneway near Liverpool Street. It is worth the search to seek it out though. The food is delicious, the atmosphere cosy and intimate, and the prices very reasonable. We had beef massaman and the meat was was so, so tender it nearly fell off my fork. The chicken red curry was the perfect mix of creamy and spicy, and was thankfully missing the slick of oil that seems to be atop most takeaway Thai curries. Prawn crackers on the table ready to go, and a nice selection of wines — South African Chenin Blanc was £17.80 for the bottle — which they keep on ice at the bar and top up for you throughout your meal. Will definitely be going back for another after-work curry this winter.

You’d have to either seek out Sri Thong, or stumble on it accidentally, given that, although only a couple of hundred meters from Liverpool Street, it is down a narrow sidestreet(incidentally, only a few yards from Jack The Rippers old haunts). Given the location, you may be surprised by the light and airy feel to the restaurant. Pricing is reasonable, service, on our visit, with a party of eight, was attentive and polite, and the food was good, managing to cater for even the demanding vegan in our group. I particularly enjoyed the Ped Ron(very crispy shards of duck) as a main, and of the starters, I’d recommend the peppered ribs.

A little hidden away but a gem of a restaurant. I had a Larb Nua Salad with a really tasty marinated rib eye steak. My brother had Phed Pa Lho roast duck slow simmered in a sweet and sour broth with quails eggs. I have travelled in SE Asia and loved the authentic ‘home grown’ menu with the sort of Chinese infuences that have traditionally shaped Thai food. At £20−25 per head with a respectable wine also great value. I noticed they do a more cut price ‘street food’ style lunch menu for regular Thai junkies.

Been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, it looked fancy, veggie-friendly menu and reasonable prices, and finally got the chance to head there for dinner the other night. Good overall, food and service were fine but nothing especially tasty or exciting. Think I’ll keep Mudmee(Artillery Lane) as my thai point of reference when Im in the area(better food, lower bill)
