Sofa Assist

We thought we were in serious trouble when our new sofas were left on our driveway by the store delivery guys because they couldn’t get them through the door. A quick call to Frank who inspected the sofas via Facetime on the iPhone and he promptly confirmed that he would be able to get them into the property and could come first thing Monday morning to sort them out. He arrived two days after our initial conversation bang on time and with his colleague’s help had the first of the two sofas through the front door and into the property within five minutes — clearly he has a skill that regular sofa delivery guys do not! The second larger sofa was more tricky, but after assessing (and ruling out) window access, they got it up and over the roof of the garage and into the back garden in an hour. All the rubbish was tidied away and they even helped us unpack them after carrying the large sofa through our french doors at the back of the house.
Frank is also able to completely strip and dismantle a sofa and rebuild it inside/​outside like new so if he wasn’t able to get it over our roof he would have still managed to get it in, no problems. Our only regret is, knowing access was tight, we didn’t just book Frank in on the day of delivery and save ourselves the stress. If you are remotely concerned about access or if you are in a fix, I would strongly recommend calling Frank. Really great guy and we would have been completely screwed without him!

We hired Sofa Assist to find a way to get our large American sofa into a newly rented Mews house in Central London and could not have been more pleased with the results. We had recently relocated to London from the United States for work and had rented a flat in a mews house that we loved for its perfect location. The problem was that when the movers came they were not able to get the sofa up the stairs to the entry way. We were really keen to keep the sofa as it is a part of a set that we purchased a few years ago. We really liked the furniture and had paid a lot for it, with the intention of keeping it for 10 years (plus we had just shipped it across the Atlantic). In addition, the matching chair had fit so we would have been disappointed to only have one piece of the set. Frankie arrived on a weekday morning having procured the sofa from storage. He and his assistant spent 45 minutes or so trying to see if they could outwit the original movers and fit the sofa in. When that didn’t work (despite coming tantalizingly close) they went down to their truck and were able to separate the sofa into two pieces, each of which fit easily. They quickly reassembled the sofa together once it was in the living room. I will admit that it was hard to picture how this would work in advance (having never had a sofa disassembled) but we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. It was completely painless and we have our lovely sofa back. Highly recommended!

Frank is just fantastic. My husband and I have a large American sofa and we wanted to get it up from our recent move from the ground floor flat to the top floor flat. It would be impossible to get it upstairs internally… and even upholsters near by said they wouldn’t take it apart for us.
I found
on a Google Search and contacted Frank immediately. I sent over some pics of the sofa and windows from both properties along with measurements. Frank responded to me with a quote and even gave us a plan B quote if the sofa indeed had to be taken apart.
We were quite excited to know we’d have our sofa in our new flat! On the day Frank and his assistant completed everything within an hour… just amazing!
