Considering what a big draw Baker Street has, the lack of decent meeting places in its vicinity never ceases to amaze me. Melcombe Street now has a Pret-a-Manger at the corner but is still lined by a number of good old-fashioned independent cafes. I check out Saporito for the first time this week and it was perfect for a meeting as it has a couple of more discreet tables at the back. Actually the décor is more nightclub than coffee shop with high upholstered chairs, framed records and football shirts for decoration. This contrast becomes even more telling when you are kicked out 6pm at night — this was on a Monday, so perhaps they still offer pizza later in the week? PS: Great coffee!

We went to brunch here with some friends of ours. Between the group we had 3 children under 3. The restaurant did not have any booster seats, but was accommodating to our party, reserving us a large bench/table area. We felt comfortable with three young ones there despite the other diners in the restaurant. The food was very good, but the portions were small. I’d suggest ordering two dishes if you’re very hungry.

Bought a LivingSocial voucher to have pizza here– at 7pm on a Friday night we were the only ones there. But by the looks of other reviews this is more of a breakfast place. Our pizzas were tasty and the service was quick, if you’re in the area you can do much worse!

I was meeting a girlfriend near her hotel for a quick breakfast and the concierge had recommended Saporito which was a small café across the street. Food: The menu is limited, but perfect for a quick breakfast. We both ordered the ricotta pancakes and my girlfriend ordered a side of poached eggs. The pancakes were very good! They came with a side of bananas and raspberries which was a nice accompaniment. Drinks: We both ordered lattes. Price: 19.10GBP which was pretty reasonable. Ambiance: It’s a very simple café with outdoor seating which was nice. Service: The service friendly, but slow which was ok since we weren’t in a rush. Would I go back? Yes, if I was in the neighborhood and needed a nice simple café.

Recently renovated — what a great gig now… The insdie space became so much better and it feels like a proper café… The food menu is quite good as well — nice open face sandwiches with fresh ingredients and some warm dishes as well. Coffee is descent(not a coffee destination but definitely drinkable…) Price points are also just right: 5 — 8GBP, not bad for Central London. There is outside spaces for smokers so if you are still a smoker, it should be one of the go-to places :-D I love the interrior and also free wi-fi. what I like: — Fresh mozarella and tomato sandwish What I was not a fan: — Pancake… Good place to swing by if you are looking for coffeee /just a quick sit down around baker street area.

I had a language swap meeting at Caffe Saporito which turned out to be a not so good idea. The music was way too loud and I could barely hear myself speak let alone anything anyone else was saying. However, as a place to have coffee and conversation that doesn’t require much concentration, Caffe Saporito is great. I had a green tea instead of my usual coffee, so I can’t comment on that, but my tea was good. Service was also swift and staff were polite and helpful. I didn’t have anything to eat, but the pastries and paninis on offer did look appetising. I will return to taste the coffee at some point.

Given the amount of competition for morning coffee in the area the fact this place always seems to be bustling drew me in. It seems to have a loyal following of morning office people grabbing coffee and a pastry/muffin on their way to work. The staff are very friendly and seem to love working there, the food on offer all looks very inviting. The priced were what you would expect. The coffee I got was excellent and the pastry was fresh and light. I would definitely get my coffee there again if heading past. If wanting a more personal experience than the usual high street chains give this place a go. The lunch offer also looked very tasty.
