What is strange is that many people swear they love coffee, but then go to Nero, Starbucks or somewhere else the beans are older than Jules Verne and the milk varies between surface of Mercury hot or scarcely distinguishable from room temperature. It really does astound me. Thankfully, this tendency leaves room for smaller places like Sacred to make great coffee to those who are happy to search for it. Freshly roasted, ground and prepared coffee is all you are going to get here, with witty conversation from the Baristas who themselves are as great as the coffee. Always go out of my way to come here and this Kiosk, uniquely located on the sidewalk, is a lifesaver when needing a fix of coffee which has been truly prepared, not just thrown in a cup.

Cunningly located between three campuses and a 30 second walk from ULU, this little coffee stand is a great pitt stop when library hopping. Coffee prices hover around the £2 mark and tea starts at £1. They also have assorted snacks.

This little parasite stall saves the day! Keenly sited at the crux between Birbeck Colllege, SOAS and UCL campuses, it provides the perfect ‘lecture-break’ relief and a quick caffeine booster just as well as its mother-coffee-shops do elsewhere around London. Sacred-parasite is there, rain or shine, gail-force winds or clouds drifting gently across Gordon Square… Always a gregarious barista serving which brightens the day, and if I’m feeling particularly low, the large chocolate-chip cookies in the counter jar will always solve that! All sorts of espresso drinks from flat whites to cappuccinos are lovingly crafted and served with milk-foam-and-coffee-leaf-shaped-skill as you’d expect. Awesome.
