This was my second visit to rossopomodoro, the first time I’d tired the aubergine pasta, it was greasy and disgusting. But I was willing to give it another go, having thought I’d picked badly, and the pizzas did look delicious. Unfortunately I was let down again. My boyfriend ordered the cornucopia — it was burnt on the base and so bland. I ordered a special; meatball with ragu pizza. The ‘ragu’ was just passata — it had that raw tomato flavour. And the meatballs were so chewy, dry and tasteless. There is a fantastic balcony upstairs which is lovely in the summer, so it gets 1 star for that and 1 for the service which was good.

We went here for a pre-cinema meal. The staff are always nice, if a bit clueless. Food is great, I’ve never been disappointed by a meal at Rosso. Especially tge pizza is very good with a wonderful dough and delicious tomato sauce. However, this is one of the chains that charges a service charge! Which I heavily dislike. Service should be included in the prices listed on the menu, service isn’t optional after all, it’s part of the restaurant experience. This is Europe, NOT North America. It’s an automatic 12.5% service charge. This is a huge deterrent for me, no matter how good the food is.

Meh. Nothing great about this place, but neither is it horrible. Have been twice. Once to try it out — were rather unimpressed — and again as I had won a meal-for-2 voucher so we were game for a 2nd chance as it was free. Food is OK, but a bit bland. The tiramisu is some of the worst I’ve had. Service is spotty, but when you do get some interaction it’s pleasant enough. Basically everything is just middling.

The most amazing pizza ive ever had! The wood fired base of the pizza is delicious, the tomato sauce is amazing and the cheese to die for. I found the service was fast and attentive. In fact I love this place Sooo much i and I just don’t understand the other reviews on here.

I remember when there were only a couple of Rossopomodos in London and felt like quite a treat to have — and now they seem to be everywhere! The first time I heard about it was from an Italian friend who loved it because the pizza was as close as she could get to home without getting on a flight. Huge expansion project in Wandsworth — which is great since its so close by. The place is pretty big like most locations — so not to worry if you don’t have a reservation. The food was really good — I was happy with my veggie pizza. Like most chains, the food is pretty consistent here and doesn’t disappoint. The service was quick and nothing to complain about. It is a really good option if you’re planning to catch a movie at the cinema.

The worst experience in London. We were visiting the UK on vacation, and decided to give this restaurant a try. Not only was the pizza soggy and sopping with oil, our bloody mary tasted as though it was made with moldy tomatoes! And, the host had the audacity to suggest that we didn’t like the bloody mary because«some people are not used to the taste of fresh tomatoes». Excuse me?! If you think those tomatoes were fresh you need to have your taste buds checked. I would skip it. Tl;dr Overpriced mediocre food. Rude service.

Sad to update the review with a much lower rating, which is based on a recent experience, and not on the food. My pizza was still delicious, like previous visits. The main reason for the poor re-rating is a big mistake with an order and aggressive up selling. I went with a friend on a Thursday night and it was really quiet, there was only one other set of diners when we arrived so it’s not as if they we’re run off of their feet. So I am not entirely sure how when my friend ordered a gluten free pizza because of an allergy they brought a regular pizza including gluten. I asked the waitress when she brought our order over if it was definitely gluten free as to me it looked the same as my one, she looked a bit uncertain and said I think so, as we kept looking at her she said that she would go and check, my friend had also made a topping change on her order and the topping that she had asked to be left off was all over the pizza and so luckily she chose to wait. After quite a long time they came back and took away the pizza and said that they would remake it. They did offer to remake my order so that I didn’t have to eat it cold or alone but this offer came much later so was a bit too late, and they did bring over olives even later but as neither of us like them it didn’t really help. The number of times that they came over to ask us if we wanted more drinks, starters, puds etc felt excessive; now it is fine to get a bit of attention but when 3 different servers ask you if you want to order something else in quick succession it feels a bit pushy. And when we were looking for the bill suddenly it was impossible to get anyone’s attention! It is a real shame as the staff were all polite enough and the food is good but for me quite a big mistake in an order which would have made my friend very ill for a few days if we hadn’t noticed, and the pushy service make this place 2 stars.
