Stopped by this restaurant for a quick meal before my flight back to Paris; so this restaurant is located inside the London Heathrow Airport. It’s all the way at the end of Terminal 5, but it’s actually one of the few places that actually has a seat down area while serving food & alcohol at the same place. The décor is like any typical airport restaurant with its glossed tables black tabletops and booths and chairs surrounding the bar. I ordered a quick Margarita Flatbread Pizza to quickly down before catching my flight out since I hadn’t had breakfast or lunch that day. When you walk up, the hostess will greet you and promptly seat you in an open table while your server arrives. Overall, my server was quite attentive and another server even accidentally brought me another cup of water when my original server already did as well. This was nice since I didn’t need to ask for a refill. Overall, nice quite family restaurant for those wanting to catch a bite. The food was also pretty decent where the pizza wasn’t too greasy and oily where it literally slides off your fork.

Overpriced for mediocre food but it is the airport. Boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich and i got the pizza. both were delicious. but the currency exchange rate made lunch $ 45USD!!!

I won’t go on and one about the experience here, as I think enough people have pointed out the issues with this airport location. High prices, poor customer service and poor-average food at best. We simply wanted a mushroom single pizza to share and two pints as a quick snack before getting on the plane. The pints took almost 25 minutes, the pizza that came was not the one we ordered, plus it was cold and the cheese had hardened. We inquired about the pizza being incorrect and the server insisted it was the mushroom pizza. I got a little indignant at this point and asked her to show me anything on this pizza that resembled a mushroom, goat cheese, or any of the other ingredients that were missing from this very obvious fake margarita pizza. She took it back and realized she gave us the wrong one(duh), and then we had to wait another 25 minutes for the right one to come out. It wasn’t that busy but this place is a straight up fail, the airport would be better served by a McDonalds. Really! Eatcrest Out!

super slow Don’t eat there if you have urgent things to do — like take a plane Food is good overall but nothing fantastic to deserve this level of delay

Ok. I understand that this is airport food but I have had some better experiences. The options here in Terminal 5 are lacking. They are much better if you hop on over to Virgin. Larry had ordered the eggs royale. The bread was stale. Salmon was OK and eggs were cooked decently. The cappuccino he ordered were weak and tasted like instant. He also got a side of Mac and cheese. It was horrendous. It was like soup that had something which had disintegrated in it. The iced tea I referenced in my tip was floral and not what I was expecting. I ordered a club sandwich. It was ok but they brought it to me 10 minutes later after they served Larry. Weird. And the waiter seemed surprised, like you want to eat together? The problem is that there are two servers per table. One who takes the order and the other who delivers and it appears that they don’t communicate. The one who delivered the food was not nearly as nice. The one who took our order was really very nice. Our lunch was £45. Not worth it. Eat before you go to the airport.

Ordered a pizza with no tomato base(strange I know) pizza comes with tomato on. I tell them I asked for no tomato base. Waiter: ‘the thing is it comes with sauce already on it’ Not what I asked for then am told to get stuff to same Amount as they can not void it on the till because it is a long procedure… Now as I wait for next order there is 2 waiters and a manager discussing this in the middle of a busy restaurant. I order American Pancakes they are only available til 11am the waiter did not know this so after a 15 minute wait comes over and says they can do it but will be a 30 minute wait do you have time… Yes I do but this is bad service. Furnished really well. Staff let it down

If I could give no star, I would. It took 15 minutes before we were acknowledge, another 15 for drinks, and then 50 minutes for the food. Only then we ask for another waiter, supposedly name Russel, to check our food he said they aren’t allow to touch other servers section food. We saw our original waitress once for the order and that was it. Finally another young ladies was pointed our way and our like warm food came out. The worst services any one can get.

It’s an airport. Food should be made QUICKLY as well as service of drinks. Eat elsewhere in LHR.

Yes, it is expensive… but it is an airport restaurant, so I expected that. Service is friendly and food is excellent. The tuna nicoise was cooked perfectly.

Great service very nice hard working staff but the kitchen is a disaster. If you judge English food by this place you would never eat English food again. Come on management for $ 50.00 for soup and fish and chips I expect something with some quality. Reheated frozen grey fish and oven fries is simply not good enough. My gf’s tomato soup was a dark turgid brew smoky and thick not a sign of anything fresh here. It’s a nice looking space and the bar looks good but avoid the food.

Very expensive, sub-par food with an unenthusiastic waitress who was bordering on inept. You are always going to pay a premium to eat at an airport, and even more so in somewhere like London, so I shouldn’t have been surprised that a portion of fries, 3 desserts and 4 cocktails came to £55! We were going to get food on the plane, so there was no need for something huge, hence why we opted to go straight to the dessert menu, washed down with holiday mojitos’. The apple & rhubarb crumble and custard was pleasant enough, although I needed to ask for an extra portion of custard because the original 3 tablespoons of custard presented was inadequate to drench my crumble in. The raspberry mojitos used big cubes of ice rather than crushed, with one lonely mint leaf, and a token raspberry to garnish. At least they were quite strong! We ordered our drinks when we sat down and ten minutes later ordered food, then 15 minutes later our food arrived, followed 5 minutes later by our drinks. We shouldn’t get our food before our drinks surely? The waitress gave us a knife and fork for our crumble, and a spoon for the wife’s fries, and our pal was expected to eat his not-remotely-cold Chocobockerglory with his fingers… Overall a disappointingly expensive lesson to not try somewhere without any Unilocal reviews!
