Pickles

Great little hole in the wall café. I ate there with my daughter and then next day the whole family and then the day after that.
This is a no frills quick breakfast place. The people running it are great. I am assuming they were husband and wife and another woman/​waitress. All the locals were eating here and a bunch of the local construction guys as well. There is a total of 5 tables — with one table having only enough room for 1 chair. Regulars would reach into the fridge for their own drinks and they made up prices for whatever combination of breakfast you ordered. Basically chips and eggs and sausage, toast, etc.
Food was tasty and fresh and came out quickly, reasonably priced. What more do you want.

We were visiting London staying in southwark and wanted a taste of local culture for breakfast so we headed to pickles! And I am so glad we did. The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff were great and lovely to have a chat with. I would definitely recommend it!

Simple breakfast (egg with bacon, sausage, beans or grilled tomatoes, and white toasts) at excellent price! It’s tiny indoor (just a few tables), so I’d recommend sitting outside if you don’t want to smell like the kitchen for the rest of your day. Friendly owners. The wife/​waitress insisted to change the coffee plate, because she spilled a bit of coffee on it. She’s such a perfectionist! They are closed on Sundays.
