The best burgers I have ever had in my life. The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy and perfectly seasoned. Not enough words for this so I leave it at that.

I love it already. I’ve got to try more stuff here. I have had their chicken burger, regular burger and what not. I love their coleslaw too. Portobello mushroom burger is fantastic for vegetarians. Some amazing sides are on the menu too. Tamarind Thighs are something you’d wanna try. But remember, if you thought sides were small, you are wrong. Tamarind thighs actually deserve a place among the mains but is probably only on the sides menu because it is not a burger. One portion of Tamarind Thighs comes with three yummy chicken thighs. Only order this in addition to your burger if you are really hungry or if you have someone to share it with else you won’t be able to finish it. Very sumptuous indeed. Trust me you’ll love it anyway. Will update this review later. I’m too hungry now So to give you an update on what I had the other day, I was slightly disappointed at the amount of oil that was oozing out of the burger. I felt they could do a little more to drain it out first before putting the patty between the buns. Apart from that everything else was good. Enjoyed the Tamarind thighs too.

So I have been to the other patty & bun near Bond Street and was blown away by the burgers! I stumbled upon this chain last weekend and was shocked there was another establishment so close on the way home for me. I dragged along a friend already prefacing the visit by proclaiming that this will be the best burger he will have. He was not disappointed! He did have to alter his choice from the Smoky Robinson which although they were happy to remove the bacon due to his religious reasons they did mention that the caramelised onions were cooked with pork therefore be weary and ask if you have any special dietary requirements. The establishment is quite small, enough to cater to 10 – 15 people however due to the location in Liverpool Street you can see how it is ideal for the busy takeaway lunch. Now onto my food, and my god the food is unbelievable! It’s messy, it’s fun, it’s quite simply delicious! The chips were served with a special roast chicken mayo which was nice but the best bit was quite simply the burger. I went for the lamb shank redemption(GREATNAME, GREATFILM) and the lamb was really nice as was the gherkins in the burger. I would highly recommend it for any burger lover out there with the total cost of the meal with the drink coming in under £13.

But if you have a service/assistance dog, you will be turned away. There is a MacDonald’s across the street.

Ordered chilli burger with fries and bbq chicken wings. Everything was on point. Burger was juicy(chilli sauce is my favourite now and its not that spicy) bun was very moist. Fries has a very nice authentic taste(fries with rosemary). Bbq chicken wing were soooo delicious, the meat was very soft with very good bbq sauce(tasted very similar to korean bbq sauces). But the actual place is very small. So if you wanna eat in place, be prepared to wait at least 10−15min. Other than that, very nice and authentic place. Highly recommend.

I wish I could have given Patty & Bun 5 stars but I was irritated and disappointed that we had to wait for a table for quite a while. You don’t have the luxury of being able to book a table, so it is a bit stressful and not relaxed. I went at lunchtime(around 12:30pm/1:00pm) on a week day. I ordered the Ari Gold cheeseburger which was very tasty, it was so juicy and very yummy indeed. Next up, my brother and I shared the Thunder Thighs with Tamarind glaze, it was a delicious sweet sauce but surprisingly spicy, so this blew me away a bit! It was all yummy but obviously annoying that no fries came with the burger, despite paying the £7.50 for no table reservation and no table services(you have to go up and order…) It would be so so great if you could book a table, and to have the ease of a waiter or waitress coming to your table. It was my brother’s birthday and it would have made the experience so much more enjoyable. I wouldn’t have dared going for dinner, I can imagine the queues and waiting time being a joke at dinner hours… I do recommend, but only if you don’t mind the stress of waiting for a while and eagerly keeping your eye out for a table…

Patty & Bun serves up a good burger, but it didn’t blow me away. For starters, I think I went in with excessively high expectations. A friend of mine who’s quite a foodie, the type that knows Heston Blumenthal dishes by name and has dozens of Michelin stars under his belt, told me that Patty & Bun was his favorite new school London burger. And the reviews are universally good across multiple platforms. So when my wife was craving a burger on a recent Sunday, we decided to venture down to the one across from Liverpool Street Station. The place is small and a little messy, with stuff stacked up everywhere and slightly sticky tables. The petite pierced woman who took our order was moderately abrupt. I thought it was odd that the burgers come with so many toppings by default — if they’re known for quality ingredients, wouldn’t they want to let those shine rather than slathering them with stuff? We ordered our cheeseburgers plain(meat, cheese, bun) to test this theory, with a single order of chips to split. They were good. But not amazing. The beef was flavorful, but very much unseasoned(hence the toppings, I guess?). It tasted grass-fed, a little gamey, but juicy and well-cooked. The cheese was pretty bland, no bite to it. And the bun was fine, but nothing to write home about. The chips were similar to Honest Burger’s, with rosemary and salt, but a little better, I’d say. So overall, a respectable burger, but not usually what I’m going to crave — I typically either want a greasy, salty fast food burger like at Meat Mission, or a high end burger a la Daniel Bouloud. For those who want something in between, with a buttload of toppings, you can go to Patty & Bun. I won’t stand in your way.

Is the line worth it? Eh… Every single time I see patty & bun the line is ridiculous. I always think to myself that it must be worth it, otherwise people would not be standing in the cold/rain for a burger. So one day I decided to go and see for myself, upon a coworkers recommendation I arrived at 3:30pm(read this as: not lunch time). The burger was decent, but certainly not the best I’ve had. The wings were pretty solid though. It’s a good burger, but doesn’t live up to the hype and I don’t think I’d wait in line for more than 3 – 5 minutes for it.

Definitely one of the best burger places in town that’s surely going to put you in a food coma! This branch is a lot smaller compared to the main Marylebone one but a fraction of the waiting time. It gets busy during lunch hours with all the city workers but they have a quick take away window just like in a lot of New York munchies. It’s full of messy goodness and I usually go for the Ari gold which just oozes with melted cheese and caramelised onions on top of the juicy beef.(It really gets messy so I wouldn’t recommend eating it outside!) And now the bbq chicken wings are hard to miss… it just falls off the bone! I definitely want to try the crispy chicken burger next time which just spills out from the bun with lots of garlic aioli!

Great place to grab a quick burger for lunch or dinner. They have some interesting options on the menu; the Ari Gold with Bacon is a classic though. You can’t go wrong with that. The meat is high quality, at a reasonable price and it is made quickly and efficiently. Not much more i can ask for from a burger joint.

Can’t beat this place for the breakfast buns. Was gutted when they change their serving days from Thursday to Friday. Must say, I’m loving their Bacon bun and the cheesy hash browns ate awesome

It’s Arri burger never fails me… Avoid lunch hour… Really busy and long queue… But all very worth it… If you’re not really hungry, no need for chips. You’ll be stuffed already from the burger.

Acclaimed as the best burger in town, my lady and me decided to have a post-flight late dinner at the small liverpool street venue. The place is much smaller than the main one(Marylebone), with some small tables on the walls. It’s much more a tak-away spot, but even at 10PM on Friday we just had to wait for 5 – 10 minutes before getting our table. The menu is the same as the other P&B: 4 burgers + special with some sides, that’s it. Couple of sides, chicken wings and chicken legs, That’s it. Now, this is going to be an endless war: Is P&B the best burger in town?! Well my opinion NO it’s not. Is it a good burger? Yeah it’s a pretty good burger. The burger is a mess, which can be a good thing. There is ton of sauce, ton of ingredients. If you like it, you do, I mean you really do, as you’ll get your hands dripping with sauce and your mouth full of pleasant and aggressive flavors. Bu then… well. it lacks in the quality of the patty(it’s good, but not that good, and it was not very well cooked), and all sauces together do not allow anything to shine, there is no real highlights that made me appreciate the dish. I think it’s something you have to try it, and then decide whether you like it or not. If you are like me, then you won’t get in again in less than 6 months time, but otherwise… well lots of people consider it the best burger in London, and you may find out this is what you think about it!

P&B was just not as good as I hoped it would be based on my husband’s singing praises. The service was friendly and we were somehow able to snag one of the two-top tables at 12:30pm on a Saturday but the food just let me down. I ordered the Ari Gold minus the mayo because mayo is gross and it was delivered to our table within an acceptable amount of time, perhaps 10 minutes from ordering. It was cooked well, possibly a little overcooked for having ordered it cooked medium though. I unwrapped it and juices were flowing which was a delightful sign but that’s sort of where the delightfulness ended. I found the burger to be tasteless but found the cheese to be very flavorful which was strange. I don’t think I’ve ever consumed a cheeseburger and actually tasted the cheese. Anyway, the bun was soggy due to soaking up a lot of the juice(grease?) and therefore started to fall apart after a couple of bites. The biggest downfall to my burger was that it was room-temperature-borderline-cold. Would possibly give P&B another go in the future but would likely give other burger joints a go first.

SOO juicy and so delicious! I drool every time I think about the burger… Service is really fast. Only bad thing is that when it gets busy, you have to wait a while for seats because it’s such a small place.

The magic of Patty & Bun — cooking up the juiciest burger on soft brioche that isn’t falling apart. I opened my takeaway order to find that the juices were running, and braced myself to find the buns mushy. However, the brioche held up as I devoured the burger. The Smoky Robinson is the way to go if you love smoked anything. It is served with smoked mayo on bacon and caramelized onion, which basically means that it will hit that bacon craving a thousand times over and leave you salivating. I was also impressed that the relatively small burger(coming from the states) kept me full for a long time, which I believe speaks to the quality of the burger. There will be a queue, but do not be intimidated as it moves quickly.

I went here on a friday night and it was too full to sit inside so we got takaeaway burgers. I got the chilli burger and it was the sloppiest juiciest, hardest to eat burger I may ever have had. But even as I sat eating it on the steps outside Macdonalds, dripping greasy juice all over myself, it was still a great dining experience(I promise!). The burger is full of flavour, the bread is soft, the toppings were tasty, the chips were perfect, the chilli I got with the chips was so good that I considered taking the dregs of it I didn’t eat home. I’ll definitely be back to Patty and Bun and hopefully I’ll get a table this time!

Oh, Patty & Bun, you haven for the messiest most delicious burgers I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. No other burger can compare to you in my eyes. I cannot stop signing praises for this place or for this burger. Dinner on my first night back in Liverpool and of course I’m gonna get the Smokey Robinson for take away. Brought it back to my flat and pretty much devoured it within minutes. Caramelised onions and bacon on a juicy medium rare patty, balanced between a sweet brioche bun. Basically perfection! All the words in the world can’t accurately describe how tasty these burgers are so I think you’re just gonna have to come here and try it for yourself.

Patty and bun is decent, but I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 starer(hence why I haven’t given it 5 stars). Generally I’m underwhelmed by burger places. You get loads of hype and then a burger. Which is good, but still just a burger. Patty and Bun is most definitely better than most! But it’s still just a burger. Their breakfast burger things(I had sausage, lots of my friends has bacon) were fine. But to be honest whilst eating it I felt it was trying(and failing) to rival the pinnacle of excellence that is the double sausage and egg mcmuffin. Maybe my love of the mcmuffin will help inform you as to whether or not to disregard this review ;) Their lunch burgers are decent, but they won’t change your life and I don’t find myself craving them as I do many other burger places. Generally this place is fine, but I think they’re riding the fancy burger wave. They throw good ingredients in but then the burgers seem to disappoint, possibly because I expect so much after their near poetic descriptions.

I’ve tried Dirty Burger, GBK, Honest, Porky’s, Bleecker, Tommi’s, MeatLiquor… basically I’ve eaten a whole cow worth of burgers! Patty & Bun’s Ari Gold comes out on top for me. That sauce and pickled onion — OMG! Incredibly delicious! The toppings in this burger are the best I’ve had. And it’s so messy, greasy and cheesy. A real treat. Another outstanding thing about the burger though is the patty. Chunky pieces of tender beef within the bun. I loved the texture and it was cooked perfectly. Shoutout to the chicken wings side. You were great but the burger stole your thunder. Best. Burger. In. London. /end
