Very poor customer service. They basically shout at you and treat you like a burden. Then proceed to laugh and talk in another language in front of your face. Not very clean nor hygienic either. Shame bc it is close to my home but I will go elsewhere and enjoy a nice friendly and clean environment while getting my nails done. Their prices are competitive as well. Not cheap. Really think someone needs to talk to them about running a business, cleanliness and customer service. I have tried more than once with this place as thought maybe they were having an off day but with no luck.

Great shellac for £20! Mine lasted two weeks without chipping so I was pretty happy. Will defo be heading back to get a new colour put on. There are quite a lot of staff and they are efficient so it’s easy to pop in without booking an appointment, though it’s busier at the weekend. Also, I don’t think they take cards so best to take cash.

I’m currently sitting in Nina’s having a really great time and think why did I give this place 3 stars. The staff are friendly, the shellac manicure is 20 quid(including removal!) which is unheard of in zones 1 or 2 and it lasts better than most. I come here all the time, and recommend it for nails to people in the area. Pictures to follow.

***Lost my sense of humour upon revisiting this place. That, and a chunk of skin from my face. I will not be returning! *** Okay, guys I’m going to have to shatter your illusions. We ladies are not the smooth skinned angels you’d like to think we are, it’s all magic and enchantment. We go to these establishments and pay them money to make the magic happen. So, I’m ambling along my local high street looking for somewhere to help create the illusion of facial smoothness and come across Nina’s. I walk in and ask to see the price list. Before I have a chance to find what I’m looking for the owner, a chubby, diminutive, smiling Asian lady says«What you want?» in a harsh, speed-fire voice that could almost be a bark, all the while smiling. A paradox I found amusing and charming. I tell her I want a wax and point to the places on my face. «£9» — bargain! I’m in. «Yes, yes. Boodiful girl, boodiful girl. This way, this way. I make you more boodiful.» We go to a treatment room down the back. «Boodiful, boodiful. This way,» and she gestures me towards the bed. I’m giggling at all these effusive«boodifuls» and lie down. «Boodiful, boodiful. So boodiful.» She sweeps back the hair from my face. «Look at your tummy! So, boodiful, so flat.» She pats my tummy. I’m starting to wonder if this is going to get inappropriate, but I’m still laughing! We discuss the details of what I want done and the price goes up. £20. Still very reasonable. What follows is an excercise in depilation so thorough, it’s shocking. With the exception of my eyebrows, every bit of hair is removed from my face, even the downy, barely perceiveable stuff — way more than I intended! She give me a mirror to inspect her work when done. «Okay? Now you more boodiful.»

Nina’s Nails is a pleasant little nail salon which provides a simple yet good service. Specialising in acrylic nails, the techniques aren’t perhaps as advanced as some of the more modern salons so it is a little ‘old skool’ in that sense. The prices are very reasonable at around £20 for a full set of acrylic nails and they also offer some student discounts. The staff are very chatty and friendly and you can usually walk in and not have to wait too long to be seen as they aways have a good number of therapists working. As you would expect, it is busier on a Saturday so if you haven’t booked, I would advise to go on a weekday.
