After moving to the UK a few months ago I had to check out Nando’s to find out what the obsession is all about. This place is all about the chicken, and it’s good. Tender, yes, but sadly not much flavor. We got a ½ chicken with lemon herb, a ½ chicken with the medium spice and some sides. The flavor of the chicken was really hard to find but the sides were good. Thumbs up for the spicy rice and the garlic bread but the grilled vegetables are really oily and the chips are just OK. The One New Change location is the only one I’ve been to so I can’t speak for other locations but this location is very clean and the staff are really nice. The food is on the cheaper side which is nice of course so you do get a lot of food for your money.

I loved this great South African restaurant nestled in one of London’s greatest malls. The play fun and upbeat music, and there are really good prices for the food. You can bring any of the sauces back to your table to mix and match flavors, and the food is absolutely incredible! Come here if you have a thing for chicken or spice, and you won’t leave unsatisfied.

Currently in Nandos waiting for what seems like an Age. Service is so bad that I want to kill myself. What the actual fk. Third capacity and still abysmal. This could be my last ever Unilocal post if I don’t get any service soon. It’s been emotional guys. UPDATE: I finally got served and subsequently ate. I feel a little better so have moved review to 2 stars as the table staff were nice but frankly dunno wtf everyone else was doing there, and they were being so slow.

The thing about nando’s– it is pretty much dependable chicken wherever you go. The chips are never as good as mcdonald’s; the tables are always a teeny bit sticky and I love that you can get a million sauces with your meal. Personally my nando’s poison is a mango and lime dark ¼ chicken. I don’t eat super spicy food, and this is perfect for adding loads of peri peri sauce to. The macho peas and the rice are always good sides to order(apart from the chips) but I find their slaw a bit too creamy for my liking. This particular branch is one of the more«basic» set ups and noise level is pretty high. Also their fro-yo machine was broken, which is always a bit disappointing. Not the best nando’s I’ve been to, but with their pretty uniform standard across the board, it is really only nitpicking on tiny variances.

Loved this place! The chicken was fantastic! The Peri-Peri seasoning is a different kind of spicy than I am used to. It was so good that I bought sauce and sprinkle to bring home. I wish they had this place in Chicago!

Friday lunches consist of one thing and one thing only — chicken. Hot, spicy, garlicly, deliciously meaty off the bone chicken. Is Nando’s the highlight of my Friday? Probably not, but morning daydreams of Nando’s help to mentally cure the inevitable hangover from the previous evening. It’s not too expensive, but you couldn’t eat here every day for various reasons. Even so, loosening your belt for a weekly forage into the peri peri forest is highly recommended in my book. A tip for this particular Nando’s on a Friday — arrive at either 11:55am or after 1:45pm. Anytime between and you may just be waiting outside and looking in the window from the queue is like opening up your last gift as a child and finding out you didn’t get your favourite toy. And no one wants that — get there early. Nom.

On the first floor of One New Change, a fancy shopping arcade near St. Paul’s, this Nando’s has the same features and menus of other Nando’s that I’ve visited in the UK. Study the menu at the table, order and pay at the register(don’t forget your table number!) and they will bring your food right to you. Choose your spiciness, from the mild through medium to extra hot. I warn you, even the medium is pretty spicy! Unlike so many UK restaurants, the soda fountain allows you to refill your Coke products to your heart’s content. This one even has my own favorite, soda water. It’s like Coke, but without the syrup. Try it some time. They also have a soft-serve ice cream machine, but that’s extra. There are also a few juices and bottled beers/ciders/wines available. Nando’s is all about chicken and peri-peri chicken at that. Grilled, spiced and served in salads, as burgers or even just in ¼ 1⁄2 or whole chickens. A number of sides are available, including corn, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and my favorite, ratatouille. If you’re not a carnivore, they have veggie options including a bean burger and a mushroom burger. And salads.
