Impressive service, great quality of food, lovely location(next to Greenwich Market), the décor of the place is quiet modern, and had an intimate ambience to it. We had a two course meal that was very filling. By the end we left with a huge food hangover and a big fat drowsey smile on our faces. Little pricey for what it is but oh so worth it.

After touring Greenwich — we followed our noses to Mogul — the aromas in the air were sumptuous. All agreed that all dishes sampled were delicious — the best Indian food that we have had in some time. Enjoyed a nice caraf of white wine to the meal. Service was professional and polite and fast. Would return in a heartbeat.

Always consistent, this restaurant has great service and quite nice Indian. One of my favourite local spots. Prime location right outside Greenwich Market. Tip: the have a take-away/delivery-only shop up the road that serves the same menu.

We went on 31÷7÷14. The waiter/owner knew two of the guests were American and proceeded to inappropriate remarks about being American. What was he thinking? Poor judgement on his part. Not only did he not get a tip, I am writing on every social media site possible. Oh, the food was mediocre and expensive for what it was.

Simply put — the food was alright(I’ve had better, and much tastier). But, what really topped it off, was the deplorable service. The older gentleman was serving us — he was very short to his staff. He was constantly reprimanding them for something that they did. When asking for water, he frowned and was CLEARLY not pleased that we chose to order tap water. Overall, I would pass on this restaurant. Not worth it.

The food here is really tasty but… The portions are quite small and the prices are a lot more than you’d get a 5 minute walk away. Also, when we came here, the waiter was really, really pushy. He kept trying to push starters, extra sides, desserts and more expensive drinks. It was really off putting. I’m usually willing to spend a bit more on decent food but the waiter really turned me off. I definitely won’t be returning!

The worst indian food Ive had in my life. Watery Lamb Pasanda(they do not know what a cream sauce is), tasteless Chicken Korma, the Peshuari Naan was greasy and tasted like it had white sugar the filling. I’ve never gone to Indian food and not been licking my plate and scraping the bowl. I was starting to think it wasn’t possible to screw up Indian food, but this place proved that wrong. Kingfisher on tap is the only good thing I have to say.

It was a cold summers evening in Greenwich, the wife and I had a brief look at the Cutty Sark and decided it was to cold for all that bollocks and decided to warm ourselves up with a ruby. After a quick look on the trusty Unilocal app we see one just up the road from where we were, the Mogul was a two minute walk away. So we shuffled in the door and asked for a table of two, it wasn’t to busy as it was a Sunday night, so they fitted us in with ease. The menu was a little different to what I’m use to and the selection wasn’t massive, but I don’t mind that sometimes, it meant I tried something different. I can’t quite remember the name of the dish, but it was whatever it was it was damn tasty! All the sides were spot on, sag paaner was out of this world and the keema naan, real meaty! My wife also enjoyed her food, and she is a Korma girl normally, but she tried something new and really enjoyed her meal to. The service was good, easy to grab there attention and were polite and pleasant enough, drinks wise is was about £4.20 a pint, so not to bad for London. overall our experience was a good one and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back when in the area, even if your over at the O2 arena, just a short 10 minute drive away. So please do give it a go.

iv had take aways that are better! we booked a table for 4 sat down and as soon as the waiter come to take the DRINKS order he was rude and trying to pressure the people that only wanted water in to buying a drink even if all they really wanted was water! the didnt have any normal indian food on the menu when i said somthing the waiter said oh u mean bluh bluh when it come it tasted nothing like what i wanted. STARTER tasted like chargrilled chicken and even that was dry! Also not everyone had starters but the waiter still tried to pressure them into getting one witch they didnt but was left feeling very uncomfortable. MAINMEAL come and i had just a normal curry and mushroom rice i thought they couldnt mess that up BUT they managed to it tasted and looked like it was made solely of water not much chicken it was just very very disappointing! ACCOMMODATION it was so small and cramped we had to ask to move to another table we was almost sitting on each others laps! SERVICE the waiters were rude trying to pressure us in to buying more then we needed i was treating my Mum, Dad and Girlfriend that night it cost over £100 and thats with the optional 10% service charge taken off RESULT i am disgusted with this place and the service i wouldnt go back there even if the meal was FREE also people that have rated this place 3 – 5 stars are you serous?

Confusing experience. I’m giving this review three stars because of the sheer confusion of the experience. The food was actually quite good but the service was a little strange. It was a Saturday night so I called ahead to ask for reservations. The man I talked to said that it wouldn’t be a problem and if they were busy we could sit to have a drink for about 15 minutes. This was an acceptable time to wait so we decided to head down to the restaurant. Upon arrival, we were told there was no tables available because we didn’t make a reservation and if we waited it would be over an hour. Someone else then came up from downstairs and said it would only be 20 minutes. So we went downstairs for a drink. Before we can order a drink someone came up and said we are tables available, confused, we headed back upstairs. Were then asked to order all of our drinks, starters and mains at once. This added to some of the confusion because I ordered a beer as a starter but a glass of wine to be delivered with my meal. Which meant both drinks were delivered at once. That was about the end of the confusing part of the mean. One of the sides was ms-ordered, but it was no big deal. On top of the strange experience the food was quite flavorful. I believe we will head back to give it another try later in the week.

2012 Review #190: Thanks to Unilocal,we came here when in Greenwich. It wasn’t our first choice, honestly, because we hadn’t been craving Indian but it was about time to finally get some proper Indian in the city area. We came on the early side for dinner; there are two floors of seating but we sat on the main floor and there was only one other table. Actually, I’m surprised to see how warm everyone speaks about the service, because to me it was very cold. They gave us a drink menu then asked what we wanted to drink 10 seconds later. When we said«water for right now» they took the drink menu away and we didn’t get to order anything else. It is a bit strange that you have to order rice separately, but one order was enough for both of us and it was very fragrant and nice. I ordered the seasonal stir fried vegetables which were very nice and had a good amount of heat. My husband got the chicken tikka masalaa and it was tied with the best we’d had, though not at all spicy. I think maybe our service seemed strange because we didn’t order very much and had a low tab, though not necessarily because we wanted to. They also sat us in the middle of the restaurant so we were constantly being scooted past. If there ever is a next time, I’d probably choose to sit downstairs, but luckily the food is good enough to make up for the weird idiosyncrasies.

I’m a fan of Indian food, and this is the best I’ve ever had. I was surprised that you have to order rice as an extra. I guess I’m used to American dining where you get enormous portions with sides. The flavors were phenomenal. The staff were helpful and service was quick. Luckily, we came before this restaurant got full and the doors were closed.

This is great little place to go and grab some mouth watering bites. The staff are always friendly and the food has constantly been spot on for me when visiting. As a local I would totally recommend Mogul should you find yourself wandering around Greenwich in search of something tasty.

I have to concur with the last review. I live in the area and swear by this place. It’s a tad more expensive than some of the other Indian places around but the food is leagues better. It’s better when eating in, but we have it delivered sometimes as well and it is still really good. For Indian food, we don’t go anywhere else in Greenwich.

Fan-bloody-tastic. I was visiting a friend who lives in Greenwich and swears by this place. It didn’t disappoint. I ate here on Easter Sunday for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious — the kind where you’re completely full, but you want to keep on eating because it’s so good. Very friendly, attentive(yet unobtrusive) service. Good wine selections, and the flavours are exceptional.

Situated in the heart of Greenwich is this fine Indian restaurant, the curry has become a staple of the British, dining experience over the years, and this ones offerings will not disappoint, the usual selection of food is on offer, all very tasty and always served with a smile, the restaurant is clean and well presented, there is limited seating upstairs, but down stairs it turns into a tardis, offering cozy dining. It can suffer from the inevitable drunken idiot looking for a curry fix after a skin full of lager around town, but the staff are always able to defuse any situations with their smiling and calm charisma.
