Indian food in the UK is so different from what you get in the United States. With that said. let me just throw it out there. when they mean it’s spicy(it really is spicy) and when they say tender(omg. it is!). This is a local spot… well I would agree with that. getting around London is a pain in the ass. You have to walk. you could cab it(or Über it). but it’s expensive and it really doesn’t save you any time. There is a lot more thought in Indian food out here… they don’t pile it on for quantity but instead quality. My fav was the chicken tandoori(which I typically do not like. but it was so tender and amazing). We also got a hot dish which was just spicy(I think it was lamb madras). a plate of appetizers which was delicious… lamb rogan(which was delicious!), and lamb chops(which tasted just like lamb chops with lemon juice on them). So just be wary of what you order. I didn’t get to try the chicken mekhani but I bet it’s good. The only place that I think has pretty good Indian food like this would be the Bay area. but what do you expect for a place that all the Indians migrate towards. But then again it’s authentic. so watch out for what you wish for.

The takeaways are great tasting and good value, with free delivery. They threw in free poppadums and salad with ours. Spice was just right, menu straightforward and delivered with a smile.

While we haven‘t yet visited the restaurant we do enjoy takeaways from here. Tonight we tried the chilli beef masala for the first time and it was amazing. The meat was very tender and moist with an excellent sauce. You tend to find Indian restaurants have strength in certain courses, starters are good but the mains lack. Mensaheb have it down to a T from the poppadoms to the last bite. Excellent and look forward to eating at the restuarnt and not having to do the dishes.

A bit tricky to find, but I think this is some fantastic Indian food. On two visits, I have had the same stellar experience — top notch service, quick food delivery, tasty and fresh food and an affordable price(especially considering it feels pretty nice inside). Honestly, you really need to be in the area to seek this place out… I usually do only when staying at the Hilton nearby(@ Canary Wharf). However, Memsaheb is my favorite of the many Indian restaurants I have tried in London, and some of the best I have had anywhere… delicious.

The décor of this place is brilliant it is done with style and has an intellectual and cool feel to it, something you would not expect in an Indian restaurant. The menu has a huge choice of different dishes, as you would normally expect with an Indian there is an equally large selection for vegetarians. Although I’m not quite sure why you would bother! The food tastes absolutely delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I really do love it here!
