M & S is a great place to shop for groceries. I haven’t shopped much in the department store part, but I do go to the supermarket quite a bit. They have a very solid selection of produce, meat, cheese and prepared meals. However, they are a bit light on random things like cleaning supplies and beverages. Also, they don’t have a dedicated butcher or deli area. Still it’s a great choice for your every day grocery needs, if those needs are fairly run of the mill. If you need to create a deeper shopping list and you want something like truffle oil, cut to order filet mignon, or smoked tofu, you are better off going to Sainsbury on Wilton Road or Waitrose down the road.
