We’ll go out for a small tea, I said.
We need to eat before you leave, but we don’t need a lot, I said…
Sat down and ordered just a starter, I didn’t need more than a little starter, so a standard sized sharing platter will be fine!
A standard sized platter it was not, it was enormous! We were brought three bowls at first and thought we should check online thinking they’d forgotten part of our order, but before we managed, we were brought ten, that’s right, ten more bowls, and bread, all only 15 quid! I felt awful now finishing it, but I would have burst!
Pleasant staff, bustling sort of noise without them trying to blast music over it. Super tasty, and the mains look even more proportionally huge!

The portions, ohh the portions…
I ended up here needing something to eat, but nothing too big, I was in the mood for a snack sized meal — a starter, if you will. The waiter was quick to take our order, and we went for shared platter starter for two. He seemed a little concerned we’d not ordered a main as well, but we convinced him we knew how the menu worked and just the starters would be fine.
The atmosphere was nice, very busy, but not so much so you’d have to wait for a table. I probably wouldn’t come here on a romantic night out, plenty of families and children would put paid to that. Having said that — it was possible to talk without raising your voice.
Waiter #1 reappeared, set three dishes down in front of us and vanished. We were a little non-​plussed, especially as other reviewers seemed to rate the portion sizes. I’d just started to pull the menu up on my phone to check, when waiter #2 returned with a huge tray of food for us and the table next to us… or not. It was all ours.
The shared starter for 2, yours for around £15, is 13 dishes. 13. Like the unlucky number.
The food was amazing, it was upsetting not to be able to finish it all. Decent service, but it’s made by the value for money. If you do go, I’d say the starter for 2 would be generous for 5 or 6 people. The mains looked equally large!

The food is excellent. Freshly made and reasonably priced. Love the free bread and salads that they serve. Absolutely delicious. The Kervan special is brilliant and can easily feed a family of four very well.

I eat here regularly. The food is always excellent and in large quantities. This is without a doubt my favourite restaurant in this area.
