A cute café with lots of pastry options. The flatbreads are to die for — I especially enjoy Kamps’ French Flatbread!

Ohhhhh the pastries are so sweet here, and ohhhhh the apple cinnamon latte! And you can see the bakery and it smells so good! But the staff are so weird and distant, there is no order to ordering, and the barista kept holding the cups by the rims instead of the handles with bare hands. Get your baked goods to go.

I popped here one lunchtime for a treat and I really like it. Quick delicious lunch and clean and comfortable. They do tasty flatbreads which are kind of like skinny pizzas but not. Mine had cheese, cranberry and chives and was amazing. They do a lunch deal for flatbread and a coke too, although its not obvious. The staff are nice but this place is new so they’re still getting the hang of things I think. It was very busy at lunchtime and the poor girl making the flatbreads was all alone and running out of plates while the staff on till shouted orders across the shop to her! I followed my flatbread with a tasty little poppyseed bread cake pastry thing. Mmm poppyseeds… Will definitely be going again.

Kamps is a very popular bakery chain in Germany. My colleagues went to the opening of the first bakery in Tottenham Court Road last week. They came back with lots of goodies! Love the pretzels! They are fresh and soft. ~~~ I went to Kamps on a weekday evening and stayed till 8.30pm when they close at 8.00pm. It was very nice of the staff to let us stay on. The waitress had patience when serving us as it was our first visit and we could not decide what to have. However she did not suggest the meal deals to us. We had to ask her about the meal deals. It turned out that almost all of the items that make up the meal deals were sold out. The only available one was the sausage and Coke deal. The waitress had to stand on a stool to pick a sausage from the container which was placed on a higher shelf. The sausage was slightly squashed. I did not find squashed sausage delicious. *Management needs to make adjustment here.* The cinnamon bread was delicious. Not too sweet, just nice and hot! The only annoying thing about my experience at Kamps was that the staff seem to leave the glass door to the bakery side wide open. It is a workplace hazard! The glass door is very close to where the customers sit. Customers had to walk carefully not bang into the glass door. Again, note to management. Overall service was average. They are new so there is always room for improvement. I will return for more but… to take away. Do not want to risk walking into the glass door!
