Initial impressions were good. The repair to my broken I phone 5 screen was carried out quickly and on time at my house for £70. I was promised a 12 month warranty to be e mailed through later that day. It never arrived. Then two days later the screen cracked after the most minor of impacts — of the sort my genuine I phone glass had withstood several times each day. Many calls and messages to sort this out have been ignored. Avoid this company. The repair was clearly carried out using inferior glass. And bearing in mind the promised warranty never arrived it also seems that they are dishonest.

1. Called 9am Friday morning. 2. Spoke to a nice guy. He told me to email. 3. I emailed. 4. I got an auto-reply. «Get back to you soon.» 5. I emailed again at 3pm. 6. Same auto reply. It’s 11:30pm now and I’m typing this through a smashed iphone screen. 1 star. Lame service.

When I slipped on a rock waiting for me sneakily on the pavement on Monday morning, I strained my back and cracked the screen of my iPhone. It was so cracked up that every time I tried to scroll or swipe, I was coming away with teeny shards in my finger. I looked into a few different options. Going in to have Apple handle it was a crazy expensive, and seemingly unnecessary. I could have ordered a new one from Ebay, and we could have installed it at home, but we were concerned we would mess up the phone and have to replace the whole thing. Finally, we decided to look into a nearby third party. I called iPhone Fix-It, and they offered to come to my workplace as a mobile service and replace it for £70.00. I made a same-day appointment, and Martin arrived to my workplace, took a seat at the desk and fixed up my poor broken phone in 15 minutes. A couple things you should know: 1. For now, they are only offering mobile service, which is £10.00 more than the price of the fix. I kept asking for appointments in the shop, and they kept saying they only had openings for their mobile service. I would have rather gone in to the shop, since it’s on my way home and would have saved a bit of money, but finally I asked about this because it seemed like they never had shop appointments available. Apparently their location at 1 Rivington Street is now closed. 2. They will re-open soon in their new location in Holborn. 3. Cash only. You’ve been warned. I specifically asked, but this information wouldn’t have been offered and I would have been a bit screwed if I wasn’t aware before the appointment so I could go and get cash. Save some money, go to these guys, or better yet, have them come to you and get your phone fixed in a jiff.
