Institute of Education Student Union Bar

You might not think the IOE bar has a huge amount of atmosphere or charm (you have to walk over a cattle grid into a drab looking concrete building…)
BUT it has:
* Looooads of space, so you can almost always find room to sit, even in a large group
* Quite a few benches, so you can relax outside in the sun (although this is often packed with IOE and SOAS students)
* Very cheap drinks for London
* They don’t seem to mind non-​students wandering in
I sometimes go with large groups of classmates after our Japanese classes at the Japan Foundation… and we have always found plenty of space to sit, friendly staff and cheap drinks.
The less good bits: It’s only open until 10pm (11pm on Fridays) and is closed all weekend.
