With so many pubs in London, it is so easy to find a bad one. Pretentious, poky, poor beers — there are a lot of sub-standard boozers out there. Thankfully, The White Horse is not one. Thankfully free from haircut-addled Hoxtonites, the Horse boasts two floors of space for revelry. Upstairs, there are a wide selection of beers — not your usual draught selection — and plenty of seats to go around. There are a few nooks and crannies for a quieter drink. Venture downstairs, and you’ll be confronted with the type of low-ceilinged bar that is reminiscent of a few student bars. In a good way — not in a copping-off-with-a-munter-with-sugary-drink-in-hand way. Great spot for a knees-up!
