Great place for a streetfeast! Went last week for oktober feast and was surprisingly stunned by the great atmosphere, yummy food stalls and drinkable beer, also really good prices. Had a 3 course meal for £25 with free beer, winner winner chicken dinner. Especially loved the cocktail and wine bars. Rola wala and prawnography were my absolute fave. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks!

Amazing vibes here at HawkerHouse for Oktoberfeast — crazy crowd but great beer and great food: Born and Raised’s pizza sliders and Arepas are worth it.

Went last month to Hawker House(April 2015). Really love the idea. It’s like one massive block party contained within an office block. There was about 3 street food stalls on each level. Can’t help but want more(I’m greedy). Would have loved a little back area but the founders already have Dalston Yard and Peckham Street Feast that caters for that so totally understand this being totally indoors in lead up to summer and sunshine times(hopefully). They had a cool roulette wheel game to win shots of whiskey. More of things like this will make it more of an all night hangout rather than just a starting point or stop off for most I reckon. But love the idea and it can only improve as the street food scene in London continually gets better. Good vibes!

It’s back! A little smaller I feel than last year but spread over three floors on Kingsland Road in a what seems to be a disused office block. The atmosphere and vibe here is as cool as ever but I am beginning to tire of street food prices — I always end up spending more here than I would at a restaurant. Sure the food was tasty, but !11 for two sliders and fries? Almost a tenner for some tacos that are slightly larger than canapes? The top floor has a Milk and Honey cocktail bar which seems rather swish for a pop up but I stuck to beer(which, at almost £5 a pint is also a pricey option). There didn’t seem to be much in the way of desserts this year, no bad brownie or ice cream but there are indoor toilets and plenty of bars. It runs for a few more weeks and is easier to get to that its Bethnal Green incarnation last year being just round the corner from Haggerston overground.
