Hmmm. Victoria doesn’t have many large, young, modern bars so this should be a welcome addition, but for me it isn’t. On the occasions I’ve been there or past it, it has quickly pulled in the after work crowd to the point where it’s too busy, noisy, loud and with no space to sit or stand comfortably. Consequently, it can take a long time to be served — and my experience of the service on eventually getting to the front of the queue was that it was pretty slow. I’ve eaten upstairs once, but the food was pretty average and the atmosphere was missing. Once we went up there and it was completely empty and we asked if we could just have a drink, but we were told ‘no’ in a pretty unfriendly way! Great way to keep business.
