A little out of the way if you don’t live in South London, but I paid this place a visit because I’d heard good things, so it was worth travelling south of the river for. I died inside a little when I realised they don’t serve alcohol — they are Seventh Day Adventists, so I respect that, but it’s not what you want to hear when you’ve been at work all day and could murder a glass of wine, haha. The choice of blended juices were good, however, and what I ordered was delicious. The food is genuine home cooked soul food and you can genuinely feel the love that’s gone into preparing it. Ermine, the lovely owner and chef was happy to keep us company as we dined and was really interesting to chat to — a genuinely lovely lady! She recommended us desserts and hot drinks to finish our meal with, both of which were really tasty. This place is definitely worth a visit if you’re a fan of creative vegetarian cooking.

Ermine runs this spotless and very simply decorated restaurant. Food is reasonably pricy but this indicates the quality and effort that has been put into making the wholesome food on offer. Fab takeaway pots and pasties — would definitely recommend you can practically feel the health bursting out when you eat this food. Simple, tasty, well prepared with love and good for you. It’s a no brainer really. The stars are for the food not the décor.

Lovely little place serving wholesome add tasty vegetarian meals. My partner loves the pies and we also enjoyed the whole wheat lasagne!
