Friendly staff and second visit back here after two years away. Still good to see some decent beers on tap. The overpowering smell of bleach is still apparent though. Good looks good but only drinking in here today on route to nearby hostel

Stumbled upon this on our way to see the zoo — starving for lunch first. This lovely little pub is a couple streets off the main road… warm, welcoming and we loved our meal! So happy we found it!

Nice little pub with charming interior. Greene King pub so expect to find IPA on tap, plus other guest ales. Wasn’t too keen on the overpowering smell of bleach however… Still, I guess that means the place is thoroughly cleaned though.

I’m surprised to be the first to review this pub, as it’s a lovely little spot in one of the more hidden bits of Central London.
Very old-​school, with slightly faded carpets, old bar stools and bags of charm, it also has a decent sized pavement seating area. I tend to choose this place when the weather is warm, as inside it isn’t huge.
The shelves in the bar area are packed with old books, encyclopaedias etc, which can make for an amusing diversion when drunk. Not an amazing choice of drinks, but perfectly adequate.

This is a clasic pub that is not open on Saturdays. But the rest of the nights make up for it! Especially on a warm night, it is a great spot to meet friends just off of the hustle and bustle of Euston Street. Check it out you will not be disappointed.

A friendly pub with one room, tables and chairs. A fairly average selection of beers and wine, but it’s a great spot for a few post-​work drinks.
There are ‘hippper’ places around, and the food is ok, but you’ll find no pretence here at all. Just office suits having a chat.
Perfectly lovely.

George & Dragon is a great pub to stop in for after work drinks. As long as you get there before 7:30 or so, it’s generally easy to get a seat. After 7:30, the place starts to pack up and you’ll be left standing.
There is a modest selection of reasonably priced beers and ciders, but an impressive list of pub food. I’ve never gotten as far as trying any of the food because my attention gets stuck at the taps, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t flirted back and forth with the menu a few times…
G&D is a good pub to go to as a safe bet – Nothing truly makes it stand out from all the pubs in the area, but it’s definitely not bad!

Reasonably priced drinks, good atmosphere, easy to get a table when we wanted one, around 7ish on a thursday evening.
Service was irritating — somehow the bar staff didn’t see me on 3 occasions, which gets on my nerves, and lost it a star, because otherwise it is a very respectable, good value traditional english pub.

The best thing about this traditional English pub are the friendly owners.
When it gets busy in here and it often does, it gets very overcrowded with punters piling out onto the street, but on a weekday lunchtimes you can normally get a seat and table.
They serve a menu of simple pub grub, which is not bad at all but rather predictable.
For a true British pub experience, I do not think you could be disappointed here, but if you are looking for much more than that then this probably is not your place.
