OK, how to write this review where Unilocal will publish it? I think, first off, no words ALLCAPITALIZED. No $#@%$ words. Be truthful and sincere. So here we go: Shopping at Harrods is a hustle bustle at best. It’s crowded and extremely active. This is not a bad thing but it is what it is. My wife, myself and my two of my sons are ready for lunch. I want Dim Sum, one son wants Lebanese, my wife wants a salad and one could have gone for anything. We all want to have lunch together so we walk upstairs to Galvin Demoiselle as a compromise. It’s a bit stuffy up there and I don’t mean the air flow. We are seated and given menus. It’s very French and most dishes come in small sizes and large sizes. We all choose Large. Now the fun starts; Three of us order the Large Cob(not Cobb) Salad and one orders crudités and hummus. The plates arrive and the Large Cob Salads(not Cobb) were three bites — maybe, at best. I said to the waitress we ordered Large Salads not small and could you take those back. She said, «Sir, these are Large Salads»! These Cobs(not Cobbs) were three microscopic hearts of romaine’s with a sprinkling of shredded smoked chicken(not even 2 oz.) My other sons hummus and veggie sticks was even smaller than our«Large Cob»(not Cobb) salads. Overtly expensive, most certainly for what you get, salads that are dry as a bone with just a hint of dressing, mini — mini portions, and an attitude to boot? Wow, was this place TERRIBLE! Go into my review history. I am as generous as any in the Unilocal Five Star System. But this place was a rock solid One Star. Sorry Galvin Demoiselle you deserved this one — No Kidding. £70.00 later, we left Galvin Demoiselle, went down the street for lunch as we were all starving. BTW — What the hell is a Cob(not Cobb) Salad anyway?

Browsing the Harrods food hall can make you very hungry. We were tempted by everything, and were ready to eat right then and there, but the food hall is basically take away, there aren’t any places to sit and devour the food you just bought. We decided to give this place a go. It’s a cute Bistro tucked above the ground floor of Harrods. One of my favorite snacks, or meals is a Charcuterie, and we chose the Charcuterie Maison: Bayonne Ham, Saucisson Sec, Rosette de Lyon and the Dorset Crab and Cucumber Sandwich with Watercress and Lemon. Both were excellent. The crab and cucumber sandwich was a standout for me. We shared a bottle of Brut, our server was prompt to refill my glass when she noticed it getting low. Topped our meal off with a Chocolate Mousse and a cappuccino. Doesn’t get any better than that! Service was excellent.
