Futon Company

So … I totally walked past the Futon Company store a few times, thinking it was some random, junky shop (I know, so judgemental), BUT — but! I was so pleasantly surprised by the range of beautiful and well-​made homeware and furniture inside. In short, it doesn’t just carry futons and though the Muswell Hill location is smaller than its Tottenham Court Road flagship (?), it had quite a bit in stock of what we were looking for.
My advice? Don’t overlook this place if you’re trying to furnish a new house/​flat (like we are). Long, skinny mirrors made from oak with a deep-​set box finish and simple, minimalist stools in a variety of colors (we picked white and grey, because I’m boring like that) are a sample of the wares that you can pick up here, and they were all welcome additions to our new home.
Service was friendly (we’d gotten there early, so were the only ones in store) and the prices were very reasonable, especially as they had a sale on (I’d say even cheap, but my husband defers — especially as it was coming out of his pocket, ha!).
Worth a good browse.
