I thought that this was a nice, cosy place. I had the lobster and rice burger and my boyfriend had the lobster roll — both were tasty and the perfect portion! Service was great, neither of us could decide on what fries to have so the waitress very kindly made us a mixture of the sweet potato fries, courgette fries and potato lattice fries without charging us extra! I count that as a win!

Regular Lunch Box. £10.95 Not enough for the money I’m afraid. Fries were also a bit on the salty side. Not a bad atmosphere though, and the waiters and staff are friendly

This place is rubbish. I just don’t know where to start. Firstly, what kind of lobster shack doesn’t actually sell lobster on the list of main courses? All they have is a lobster roll. A cold lobster roll made with masses of lettuce and a little bit of lobster they prepared earlier and had stored in a fridge. For £15. You don’t get enough to fill you up despite its large appearance and fries are an extra £3. And you still won’t be full. None of this is the fault of the staff who are friendly and smiley. And the décor is pretty cool too. It’s just a shame the product is so bad. I genuinely felt ripped off here.

Excellent service and very friendly staff at this small, cosy(albeit slightly draughty) establishment. Their menu is limited — but that’s the point. They serve lobster rolls primarily, but there are some other options on the menu. The vibe is intended to be relaxed, so you order at the bar, there are no menus just a board behind the bar. We went about 5 days after opening — I think we went there very early, because the whole thing just seemed a little like they were still finding their feet and were nervous about having their first guests. The food is ok at best. The rolls are a little too sweet, too much mayo, too expensive(the fries are extra) and, most disappointlyingly, the shredded lettuce just makes the whole thing taste faintly of McDonalds. The courgette fries are good — but for £15 they should be included in the price of the roll. Positives: Very friendly staff Great old fashioned(although I am no connoisseur!) Good location Décor Negatives: Price Quality The bloody lettuce Overall, not a bad experience, but I won’t be back. For £17 at The Big Easy in Chelsea you can get a whole lobster, with fries, coleslaw and a margarita — so paying £15 for less lobster, plus extra for fries, means I will be taking my custom elsewhere in future.
